Labor output constants for building works

categories: General
Recommendation for labor output constants for building
works in India
The labor constants have been arrived at by the Central Building Research Institute, Roorkee by
taking actual observations, using work measurement techniques, on the construction sites,
Different types of building works up to 10 m height were included where the workers from
neighboring states were working.
Following table shows recommendation for labor output constants for building works in India

Source of this data..? Do Richardson, Means,Page and Nation or others provide similar
data for India. What about construction companies such as L & T, Shapporji and
Pallonji etc .?

Thid has already been researched and updated by the CPWD in 2013. What are the
parameters you have considered and in which way is it differant from CPWD. I know
many of the data may be old and may not be relevant to the present your research
should be on these aspects bringing out the differences rather than just an observation.
You need to also mention the necessary augmentation of machinery and equipment to
make it a Holistic approach.
Nevertheless the effort is appreciated and welcome.
