Project Concept Paper

INTRODUCTION:

The department of education is willing to serve and help in building a progressive nation by
serving its stakeholders. Learners are the number one ingredient into the success for they
are the outcome of their hardship. School and community must both participate in
achieving this. As part of the school and community, teachers and parents are part of the
big change for the development of learners. Assisting them into their needs makes learning
easier to come out. Making the learning available for them is its goal. We should be open
as part of that progress. Doing this should start from the heart. We create learners who are
Maka Diyos, Makatao, Makakalikasan and Makabansa. DepEds Vision and Mission
serves as the light of educators in holding a bright future for every learner.

Problem Description:
School is one of the key in making success to the world. In line with this, addressing some
issues/ problems that educators like me encountered to the field should be given some
time in resolving or reducing them. Some of these problems are the Literacy (Non
Readers) , behaviour of the students towards schooling and the lack of awareness of parents
to their childs performance.

For each problem, answer the following questions. Give quantifiable or observable indicators.
1. What is the problem? (maximum 20 words)
2. When does the problem happen (maximum of 20 words)
3. Where does the problem happen? (maximum of 20 words)
4. Who are affected by the problem? (maximum words)

Problem 1 1. These are the students who are having some difficulties when it comes to
communication (specifically reading and writing).
Building Literacy: 2. The problem starts when they are asked to do some activities in their class but
Non Readers in the arent able to do it well for the reason that they lack some skills in doing it.
Class 3. It occurs in the classroom setting. Wherein students supposed to be participating
and doing some activities for their learning improvement.
4. With this situation, students themselves, parents, teachers and the community as
well might get affected with this problem. Students need to acquire the skills needed
for them to be a good citizen of their community. Literacy is indeed a big need to
everyone. A literate person can help his family specially his parents in having a good
life. Making his teachers proud for they/ we are part of their big change and success.
Problem 2 1. These are the students who dont pay attention to the value of education and to
what education can bring them.
Behaviour of Students 2. It suddenly occur when youth starts to let go of education in exchange to
Toward Schooling something else or some reasons.
3. It can happen in school where learning should take place.
4. School and the community get affected into this problem. The teachers being part
of the school and the parents as part of the community should work on this together
hand and hand so that these youths who dont value education may have the essence
of educating themselves for their future.
Problem 3 1. These are some parents who dont mind checking their childs performance in
school. Those who lack time in supporting/boosting their children whenever they
Parents Awareness and need to perform some activities in school.
Support to their Childs 2. When students do not perform in school anymore or there are some lapses in
Performance in School their performance and teachers tried their best to reach out parents awareness but
parents dont have time in dealing with them.
3. It can simply happen in school when they start missing some lessons or
performances which may cause to making them feel left behind.
4. In this, parents, teachers, students and the community get affected too. Teachers
and parents should work on together in monitoring students performance to
assist/support them into their needs. We can make them better if we will be there as
their guide to reach their dreams. If we will not be there into their side specially
parents they might get the wrong way.

Statement of Project Objective:

(What result do you want to see after solving the problem? Give quantifiable or observable
indicators. (maximum of 50 words)

Problem 1 There would be some change into the performance of the students in the class.
Non Readers from each level will be lessening into at least 5% - 10% of the total
Building Literacy: percentage per quarter. They will be able to engage with activities that involve
Non Readers in the speaking, listening, viewing, writing and most importantly reading.
Class
Problem 2 The percentage of dropout rate will decrease at least 5% annually. Students who do
activities and assignments will increase for at least 5% to 10%. There would be an
Behaviour of Students increase to the enrolment rate.
Toward Schooling
Problem 3 Parents will be visible in monitoring their childs performance in school by
acquiring the 85% -90% of attendance every parents conference. Students needs
Parents Awareness and will be addressed to their parents by attending parental talk whenever needed as
Support to their Childs monitored by the school head.
Performance in School

Benefits of solving the problem:

1. Who benefits from solving this problem? Be specific, give exact numbers. (maximum 50
words)
2. What is the exact benefit to them? (maximum 50 words)
3. How will solving this problem contribute to achieving DepEds vision and mission?
(maximum 75 words)

Problem 1 1. The community will benefit a lot in solving this problem especially Villa Aglipay
National High School learners, parents and teachers. For the parents children will

Class in the Villa Aglipay community. Learners especially those who will be part of this
project will have their weapon in their battlefield to learning. Especially if they will
not just rely on the help to them but most importantly help themselves to carry out
on learning.
2. Learners will more or less cope up with their everyday activities in school or even
into their surroundings that will soon be their shield in finding a good future. They
will be able to communicate with the people around them and with the things they
read they will be able to understand for them to pursuit a good future someday. It
will also help the parents in giving their children a bright future. Teachers too will
be having a continuous and fun learning into their classes when students are able to
communicate with them well.
3. In this project, the parents and teachers help the DepEds Vision and Mission in
providing a responsible development of learners in their competencies that they
can use in building a good and responsible nation.
Problem 2 1. Villa Aglipay Community and school will benefit into this project.
2. With this project the percentage of Out of School Youth will decrease and
Behaviour of Students crime rate that may also involve some teenagers will be minimized. Learning will
Toward Schooling easily takes place in class if learners have the positive feedback in schooling.
Teachers will also be more motivated in teaching learners to be good in their field.
Villa Aglipay community will be a zone of professionals.
3. With this, learners will have the chance to exercise and value their right to a
quality, equitable, culture based and complete basic education as we promote it to
our DepEd Vision and Mission. They may use the basic education acquired in
serving our nation and be a good citizen of our country (Makabansa).
Problem 3 1. There are many who will benefit into this project. These are the learners,
parents, teachers and of course Villa Aglipay National High School and its
Parents Awareness and community.
Support to their Childs 2. Learners will be monitored and be able to receive assistance from their parents,
Performance in School teachers and even to the community. Parents will be aware on their childrens
performance and can contribute a lot in making their children better citizens of our
country. Teachers will have the chance to have a big contribution in making the
world a better place to everyone.
3. This project will be in lined to DepEd Vision and Mission by engaging actively
the family, community and stakeholders in having awareness into the needs of our
learners.
