Eating disorders are actually serious and often fatal

illness that causes severe disturbances to a person,s
eating behaviours .Obessions with food ,body
weight and shape may also signal an eating disorder
. Common eating disorders are anorexia
nervoxa,pica , bulimina anorexia.
ANOREXIA NERVOXA
Anorexia nervosa is a eating disorders charaterized
by a low weight, fear of a gaining weight,a strong
desire to be thin and food restriction.
TYES OF ANOREXIA NERVOSA
1 RESTRICTING ANOREXIA- where weight loss is a
achieved by restricting calories [fasting and exercing
to exess]
2PURGING ANOREXIA- Where weight loss is
achieved by vomiting and using laxatives,diuretics.
Causes
1 biological although it,s not yet clear which genes
are involved there may be genetics changes that
make some people more vulnerable to develpoing
anorexia . some people may have a genetic
tendency towards perfectionism , sentivity.

compulive personality traits that make it easier to
stick to strict to strict diets and forgo food despite
being hungry.

followed by purging . Binge eating refers to eating a
large amount food in a short amount of time .
Purging refers to the attempts to get rid of the food
consumed .This may be done by vomiting or taking
laxatives.
TYPES OF BULIMIA NERVOSA
1 PURGING NERVOSA in this form,individual will
regularly engage in self-induced vomiting or abuse
of laxatives,diuretics or enemas after a periods of
bingeing.
2 NON PURGING-In this form of bulimia nervosa,the
individual will use other inappropriate methods of
compensation for binge episodes ,such as exessive
exercising or fasting.In these cases ,the typical forms
of purging,such as slf induced vomiting are
regularlyutilized.

pregnant women.
CAUSES
.PICA disorders is a specific appetite caused by
mineral deficiency in many cases such as iron
deficiency , which sometimes is aresult of celiac
disease or hookworm infection.
