Hudson Valley Tango & La Montiel Dance

OLIVER KOLKER and SILVINA VALZ

Recently featured at the Hudson Valley Tango Weekend with the Maestros in
upstate New York, the couple are recognized nationally and internationally as
performers, choreographers and teachers. Their credits include tours of Europe,
Israel, Japan and Argentina as well as engagements in major tango festivals in
the US. They currently teach in New York City.
They are solidly grounded in the classical styles of Argentine tango, yet able to
incorporate progressive techniques. Their unique teaching method is clear and
well-structured. Their passion for the dance is contagious, to be enjoyed by
beginning students as well as the most experienced dancers.

Video taping of the classes by students wishing to create a personal notebook of the techniques they have
learned is permitted and encouraged by the instructors and the event sponsors.

From NYS Thruway (I-87) or from Palisades Parkway & Route 6 to Central Valley, take Route 17
West to Exit 126, Chester. Turn left at end of ramp onto Route 94 south. Go 4½ miles to Florida. Turn
left to stay on Route 94 and 17A south. Go 5½ miles to Warwick. Route 94/17A becomes Main
Street.

From Interstate Route I-84, take Exit 4E, Middletown, onto NYS Route 17. Proceed on Route 17 to
Exit 124, Goshen. Turn left at end of ramp onto Route 17A south. Go 5 miles to Florida. Stay straight
on Route 94 and 17A south. Go 5½ miles to Warwick. Route 94/17A becomes Main Street.

The studio is on the right, at the corner of Main Street and West Street (1 block before crossing
railroad tracks). It is on the second floor, above Jacqueline’s Boutique.

Coming north from southerly Warwick or Passaic County, NJ on Route 94/17A, which becomes
Main Street, cross Railroad Avenue and the railroad tracks. The next corner is West street. The
studio is on the left, at the corner. It is on the second floor, above Jacqueline’s Boutique.

Curb-side parking is permitted in the evening, and there is ample, free parking in nearby, municipal
parking lots accessible from Main Street.
