e. Briefly explain the operation of the converter based on the sketched waveforms.

The converter is a basically 3 units of 1 full-wave controlled rectifier, which each phase is
controlled based on the timing given on TA, TB and TC. As phases are shifted to 0, 120
and 240, timing is given to maximize output of the rectifier. In the lab, 0 is set to variance
value which is corresponding to a defined voltage value. Result of the 0 changes are akin to
give control over DC motor speed.

Given that power given is 3 times of the 1 power source, it can be used to supply DC in
case of high demand.
