This unit does not guarantee connection with all
USB devices.
FAT12, FAT16 and FAT32 file systems are
supported.
This unit supports USB 2.0 full speed.
This unit can support USB devices of up to
32 GB.
Only one memory card will be selected when
connecting a multiport USB card reader, typically
the first memory card inserted.
Compatible MP3 files
Supported format:
Files with the extension .mp3 or .MP3.
Depending on how you create the MP3 files, they
may not play in the order you numbered them or
may not play at all.
Files are defined as tracks and folders are
defined as albums.
This system can play or record up to 800 albums
(maximum 999 tracks in an album) or a total of
8000 tracks, depending on the available storage
capacity.

Unit care
To prevent speaker damage
When you play at high levels for a long period, it
can cause damage to the speakers and decrease
the life of the speakers.
Decrease the volume in these conditions to
prevent damage:

When you adjust the sound quality.
Clean this unit with a soft, dry
cloth
Pull out the AC power supply cord from the outlet
before maintenance.
When dirt is heavy, wring a wet cloth tightly to
wipe the dirt, and then wipe it with a dry cloth.
Never use alcohol, paint thinner or benzine to
clean this unit.
Before using chemically treated cloth, carefully
read the cloths instructions.
To dispose or transfer this unit
The unit may keep the user settings information in
the unit. If you discard this unit either by disposal or

Troubleshooting
Before requesting service, make the following
checks. If you are uncertain about some of the
check points, or if the solutions indicated in the
following guide does not resolve the issue, then
consult your dealer for instructions.
To return all settings to the factory defaults
When the following situations occur, reset the
memory:
There is no response when buttons are pressed.
You want to clear and reset the memory contents.
1 Disconnect the AC power supply cord. (Wait for
at least 3 minutes before proceeding to step 2.)
2 While pressing and holding down [/I] on the
unit, reconnect the AC power supply cord.
Keep holding down [/I] until -------- appears on the
display.
3 Release [/I].
All the settings are returned to the factory defaults. You will
need to reset the memory items.
General
Humming heard during playback.
If an AC power supply cord or fluorescent lights
are near the cords, then keep other appliances
and cords away from the cables.
The unit does not work.
One of the units safety devices may have been
activated.
Reset the unit as follows:
1 Press [/I] on the unit to switch the unit to
standby.
If the unit does not switch to standby, press
[/I] on the unit for approximately
10 seconds. The unit is forcibly switched to
standby. Alternatively, disconnect the AC
power supply cord, wait for at least 3 minutes,
then reconnect it.
2 Press [/I] on the unit to switch it on. If the
unit still cannot be operated, consult the
dealer.
The display panel lights up and changes
continuously in standby mode.
Press and hold [] on the unit to select DEMO
OFF.
Sound is distorted or no sound.
Adjust the volume of the system.
Switch off the system, determine and correct the
cause, then switch the system on again. It can be
caused by straining of the speakers through
excessive volume or power, and when using the
system in a hot environment.
The sound level reduces.
The protection circuit has been activated due to

If the problem persists, turn the unit off and on,
then try again.

Remove any interference between this unit and

Other devices that use the 2.4 GHz frequency

recording time of the USB device is less than the
total time of the music source. Change to a USB
device which has enough recording time and do
the recording again.
ERROR
Incorrect operation is performed. Read the
instructions and try again.

3 Ajuste el volumen del micrfono o guitarra.
Para micrfono 1: Gire [MIC1-VOL].
Para micrfono 2 o guitarra: Gire [VOL-MIC2/ ].
4 Si quiere cantar con la msica de fondo:
Reproduzca la fuente de msica y ajuste el
volumen del sistema.

Si se escucha un ruido extrao (chirrido), separe el micrfono/
guitarra de los altavoces, o baje el volumen del micrfono/guitarra.
Ajuste el volumen del micrfono/guitarra a MIN, y desconecte
el micrfono/guitarra cuando termine de utilizarlo.
Este sistema no puede grabar desde un micrfono o una guitarra. 33

Otros Cdigo del control remoto

Funcin de apagado automtico
Esta funcin apaga automticamente el sistema
cuando no lo utilice durante 20 minutos
aproximadamente.
1 Presione [SETUP] repetidamente para
seleccionar AUTO OFF.
2 Presione [3, 4] para seleccionar ON y luego
presione [OK].
Para apagar la funcin, seleccione OFF en el paso 2.
Cuando se conecta a un dispositivo Bluetooth, la funcin no
funciona.
Bluetooth en espera
Cuando se selecciona SC-CMAX5 desde un
men Bluetooth de dispositivo Bluetooth
sincronizado, este aparato se encender
automticamente desde el modo en espera y se
establecer una conexin Bluetooth.
1 Pulse [SETUP] repetidamente para seleccionar
BLUETOOTH STANDBY.
2 Pulse [3, 4] para seleccionar ON y a
continuacin pulse [OK].
Cuando otro equipo Panasonic responda al control
remoto provisto, cambie el cdigo del control
remoto.
Preparacin
Pulse [AUX] para seleccionar AUX 1 o AUX 2.
Para configurar el cdigo en
REMOTE 2
1 Mientras mantiene pulsado [USB] en el
aparato, mantenga pulsado [AUX] en el control
remoto hasta que aparezca REMOTE 2 en la
pantalla del aparato.
2 Mantenga pulsado [OK] y [USB] en el control
remoto durante al menos 4 segundos.
Para configurar el cdigo en
REMOTE 1
1 Mientras mantiene pulsado [USB] en el
aparato, mantenga pulsado [USB] en el control
remoto hasta que aparezca REMOTE 1 en la
pantalla del aparato.
2 Mantenga pulsado [OK] y [ ] en el control
remoto durante al menos 4 segundos.

Para apagar la funcin, seleccione OFF en el paso 2.

Actualizacin de software
En ocasiones, Panasonic puede lanzar
actualizaciones del software para esta unidad que
pueden optimizar el desempeo de ciertas
funciones. Estas actualizaciones se encuentran
disponibles en forma gratuita.

Solucin de problemas
Haga las comprobaciones siguientes antes de
solicitar el servicio de reparaciones. Si tiene alguna
duda acerca de los puntos de comprobacin, o si
las soluciones indicadas en la siguiente gua no
solucionan el problema, consulte a su
concesionario para recibir instrucciones.
Para volver a la configuracin de fbrica
Cuando ocurran las siguientes situaciones,
reinicie la memoria:
No hay respuesta al presionar los botones.
Desea limpiar y reiniciar los contenidos de la memoria.
1 Desconecte el cable de alimentacin de CA.
(Espere al menos 3 minutos antes de proceder
con el paso 2.)
2 Mientras mantiene pulsado [/I] en el
aparato, vuelva a conectar el cable de
alimentacin de CA.
Mantenga pulsado [/I] hasta que -------- aparezca
en la pantalla.
3 Libere [/I].
Todos los ajustes vuelven a la configuracin de fbrica. Es
necesario restablecer los elementos de la memoria.
General
Se escucha zumbido durante la reproduccin.
Si un cable de alimentacin de CA o luz
fluorescente se encuentra cerca de los cables,
entonces mantenga otros aparatos y cables
alejados de los cables.
La unidad no funciona.
Se ha activado uno de los dispositivos de
seguridad de la unidad.
Reinicie la unidad de la forma siguiente:
1 Pulse [/I] en la unidad para cambiar la unidad
a modo en espera.
Si la unidad no se cambia a modo en espera,
pulse [/I] en la unidad durante 10 segundos
aproximadamente. La unidad se cambiar a
modo en espera a la fuerza. Como alternativa,
desconecte el cable de alimentacin de CA,
espere durante al menos 3 minutos, a
continuacin conctelo de nuevo.
2 Pulse [/I] en la unidad para encenderla. Si
la unidad sigue sin funcionar, consulte a su
concesionario.
El panel de visualizacin se ilumina y cambia
de manera continua en modo de espera.
Mantenga pulsado [] en la unidad para
seleccionar DEMO OFF.
Sonido distorsionado o falta de sonido.
Ajuste el volumen del sistema.
Apague el sistema, determine y corrija la causa,
luego encienda nuevamente el sistema. La causa
puede ser el esfuerzo de las bocinas debido a una
potencia o a un volumen excesivo, y la utilizacin
del sistema en un ambiente donde hace calor.
El nivel de sonido baja.
El circuito de proteccin se ha activado debido al uso
continuo a un volumen alto. Esto sirve para proteger
el sistema y mantener la calidad del sonido.
Control remoto
El control remoto no funciona correctamente.
La pila est gastada o se ha insertado

USB
No hay respuesta cuando se presiona [1/;].
Desconecte el dispositivo USB y vuelva a
conectarlo. Alternativamente, apague la unidad y
vuelva a encenderla.
El dispositivo USB o sus contenidos no se
pueden leer.
El formato del dispositivo USB o sus contenidos
no son compatibles con la unidad (l 21).
Es posible que la funcin del host USB de este
producto no funcione con algunos dispositivos USB.
El dispositivo USB funciona lentamente.
Archivos de gran tamao o dispositivos USB con
mucha memoria tardan ms tiempo en leerse.
El tiempo transcurrido visualizado es diferente
al tiempo de reproduccin real.
Copie los datos a otro dispositivo USB o realice
una copia de seguridad de los datos y vuelva a
formatear el dispositivo USB.
Bluetooth
No se puede completar la sincronizacin.
Verifique la condicin del dispositivo Bluetooth.
El dispositivo no se puede conectar.
La sincronizacin del dispositivo no tuvo xito o
se ha sustituido el registro. Intente sincronizar de
nuevo el dispositivo. (l 26)
Este aparato puede estar conectado a un
dispositivo diferente. Desconecte el otro dispositivo
e intente sincronizarlo de nuevo. (l 26)
Si el problema contina, apague la unidad y
vuelva a encenderla, despus intntelo otra vez. 35

El dispositivo est conectado pero el audio no
se puede escuchar en este aparato.
Para algunos dispositivos Bluetooth incorporados,
tiene que fijar manualmente la salida de audio a
SC-CMAX5. Lea las instrucciones de funcionamiento
del dispositivo para obtener ms detalles.
Se interrumpe el sonido.
El dispositivo est fuera del rango de
comunicacin de 10 m. Site el dispositivo
Bluetooth ms cerca de este aparato.
Retire los obstculos entre este aparato y el dispositivo.
Otros dispositivos que usan la banda de frecuencia
de 2,4 GHz, tales como (router inalmbrico,
microondas, telfonos inalmbricos, etc.) estn
interfiriendo. Coloque el dispositivo Bluetooth ms
cerca de este aparato y lejos de otros dispositivos.
Seleccione MODE 1 para la comunicacin estable. (l 27)
Mensajes
Los siguientes mensajes o nmeros de servicio
pueden aparecer en la pantalla de la unidad.

B NO DEV
El dispositivo USB no se ha insertado correctamente.
Lea las instrucciones e intntelo de nuevo (l 26).
ADJUST CLOCK
El reloj no se encuentra configurado. Ajuste el
reloj como corresponda.
ADJUST TIMER
No se ha ajustado el temporizador de grabacin
y/o reproduccin. Ajuste el temporizador de
grabacin y/o reproduccin segn sea necesario.
AUTO OFF (parpadea)
La unidad no ha sido utilizada por
aproximadamente 20 minutos y se apagar en un
minuto. Presione cualquier botn para cancelar.
CANT REC
No se puede realizar la grabacin cuando el
dispositivo USB est bloqueado. Desbloquee el
dispositivo USB y vuelva a intentarlo.
DEVICE FULL
Usted no puede grabar debido a que el tiempo de
grabacin restante del dispositivo USB es menor que
el tiempo total de la entrada de msica.
Cmbielo con un dispositivo USB que tenga tiempo de
grabacin suficiente y haga nuevamente la grabacin.
ERROR
Se realiza una operacin incorrecta. Lea las
36 instrucciones e intntelo nuevamente.

ERROR (durante la grabacin)
No se puede seleccionar otra fuente de reproduccin
(por ejemplo: USB etc.) o pulsar [:/6] o [5/9]
durante la grabacin. Detenga la funcin de grabacin.
F ( significa un nmero.)
Hay un problema con este aparato.
Anote el nmero que aparece, desenchufe el cable de
alimentacin de CA y consulte a su distribuidor.
NO PLAY
UNSUPPORT
Examine el contenido. Slo se pueden reproducir
formatos compatibles. (l 21)
Los archivos en el dispositivo USB pueden estar daados.
Formatee el dispositivo USB y vuelva a intentarlo.
Es posible que el aparato tenga algn tipo de
problema. Apague el aparato y a continuacin
vuelva a encenderlo.
NO TRACK
No hay ningn lbum o cancin en el dispositivo USB.
PLAYERROR
Se ha reproducido un archivo MP3 no
compatible. El sistema se saltar esa cancin y
reproducir la siguiente.
REC ERROR
Ha desconectado el dispositivo USB durante la
grabacin. Conecte el dispositivo USB y realice
de nuevo la grabacin.
REMOTE ( significa un nmero.)
El control remoto y esta unidad estn usando diferentes
cdigos. Cambie el cdigo en el control remoto.
Cuando aparezca REMOTE 1, mantenga
pulsado [OK] y [ ] en el control remoto durante al
menos 4 segundos.
Cuando aparezca REMOTE 2, mantenga
pulsado [OK] y [USB] en el control remoto durante
al menos 4 segundos.
TEMP NG
El circuito de proteccin de temperatura se ha
activado y el sistema se apagar. Deje que la
unidad se enfre antes de volver a encenderla.
Revise que la abertura de ventilacin de la
unidad no est obstruida.
Asegrese de que la unidad est bien ventilada.
USB OVER CURRENT ERROR
El dispositivo USB requiere demasiada alimentacin.
Retire el dispositivo USB y apague la unidad.
VBR
El sistema no puede mostrar el tiempo de
reproduccin restante de las canciones de
