1. Download course readings.

2. Work through the readings in the order given in the course profile under the section
- Learning Activities.
3. For each reading:
a. Identify the existing baseline network.
b. Identify macro trends and how they impact on the existing supply network.
c. Identify future scenarios.
d. Explore, in detail, the supply chain and networks trends to get from a. to c.
above. Supply network trends could include processes, technologies, people,
and/or strategies.
e. Explore company and/or culture trends and their impact on c. (e.g.
governance structures)
4. Find your own case study to examine using the same process as above.
5. Incorporate the theory/learnings from the readings in your analysis of your case
study.
6. You must identify three issues related to supply network management in your report
and make recommendations to the company regarding strategies they should
develop to address the gaps you have identified between a. and c. above.
Recommendations must be realistic and achievable.
7. Prepare an initial proposal (500 words max) to be lodged via Learning@Griffith
(under Assessment) by 5pm 20 August. In the proposal you need to:
a. Provide a summary of scope and the objectives of the case study report.
b. Identify the three issues related to supply network management you will
include in your report.
c. Outline the main objectives of your analysis in relation to the written report.
8. Prepare a presentation of your proposal to be delivered in class on 26 August. (10-15
slides will be sufficient). You need to cover more than just the basic outline covered
in your initial proposal. It is anticipated that students will comment on each others
presentations during this time as feedback before the preparation of the final report.
You will be assessed on your teamwork skills during this time.
9. Prepare your final report on your case study and submit it via Learning@Griffith by
5pm 15 September.
