Part 1: Microsoft Word

Supporse you are the Course Director of the Australian Education Consultant in Sri Lanka. You have
to prepare a notice regarding courses offered by the University of Melbourne. Prepare the given
document in Microsoft Word to display in the same format considering the given instructions.

given sample.

Part 2: Microsoft Excel

For this part use excel file in your exam folder.

Question 01

Part A

For this question use the data given in the worksheet named Question 01 A. The table displays the
sales quantity & Sales income for 5 products of the General Trading Company. You are required to
complete the rest of the table according to the given instructions in the following points.

a) Calculate cost of Sales for each product. (First you are required to calculate unit cost. Assume
unit cost of the product is same for all products And all values should be addressed through cell
addresses)
b) Calculate profit for each product And get the Total profit
c) Calculate the summation of profit for quantity sold more than 60 units
d) Get the Average Sales Income
e) Calculate the number of product categories produces by the company

Part B

For this question use the data given in the worksheet named Question 01-B. The table shows the details
of 3 projects called A, B and C. You are required to calculate the remaining years, duration after
completion of the project.

Question 02

For this question use the data given in the worksheet named Question 02.
a) Draw a column chart to show each product categories for their sales with following information.
Chart Title : Sales of product should be in above the chart
X axis Label : Years
Y axis Label :Sales (Rs.) , label should be displayed as Horizontal title and convert
the axis in thousands
Legend Location : show legend at Top
Fill the chart area as : Gradient Fill with the Rectangular type
Location : New sheet called Sales of product

b) Draw a linear trend line based on the series B by giving Sales of B as the line name with
forecast values for next 2 years and display the equation on the trend line.

Question 03

This data set is based on the details of customers in a bank. You are required to answer the following
questions.

1) For this question use the data given in the worksheet Question 03-1.
a) List all male customers who have more than 20000 A/c balance and have current A/c or all
female customers who have more than 20000 A/c balance and have savings A/c
b) List all customers in Awissawella branch having current A/c or savings A/c
c) Format cells that are between in the range of 10000 and 25000 A/c balance with a color

2) Use the data set given in the worksheet Question 03-2


a) Calculate the sum of A/c balance in Branch wise
b) Calculate the Average A/c balance in A/c type wise under the branches.
(You have to show all details in same answer)

3) Use the data set given in the worksheet Question 03-3
a) Bank has decided to reward for the customers whose a/c balance in more than 20000 and having
current A/c on the basis of 10% of the A/c balance. For the customers who are not entitled for
rewarding the word Not rewarded should be displayed in the reward Amount column.
b) Calculate the Allowed Loan Amount for each customer as following percentages of their A/c
balances.
