AUTHENTIC MODELS
Virtually hand-built, Authentic instruments go beyond The Golden Era in faithfully replicating
Martin pre-war specifications, materials and construction methods. This includes such
authentic features as use of hide glue, T-shaped neck reinforcement bar, Adirondack red
spruce tops and bracing, original shape and color pickguards, solid Brazilian rosewood*
headplates and more.

GOLDEN ERA MODELS

Golden Era guitars replicate select pre-war Style 18 models built during the 1930s,
Martins first Golden Era of legendary quality and originality. Features include mahogany
backs and sides finished in the original lacquer tints and stains, Adirondack red spruce tops,
30s style X-bracing, cloth side strips, 30s style logo and solid Brazilian rosewood* head-
plates.

MARQUIS MODELS
Marquis guitars feature Golden Era appointments but utilize solid East Indian or Madagascar
rosewood in place of Brazilian rosewood. A more affordable Martin Golden Era recreation.

VINTAGE MODELS
Our Vintage instruments combine the look and feel of classic pre-World War II Martin
guitars with modern improvements and materials. The result: instruments of extraordinary
elegance, power and playability. Constructed of solid premium tonewoods, including East
Indian rosewood, genuine mahogany, select quarter-sawn Sitka spruce and ebony. Necks
are hand-fit using a wood-to-wood dovetail attachment for best tone. Each guitar includes
a vintage Geib style case.

*C. F. Martin & Co., Inc. utilizes only solid Brazilian rosewood that is properly validated and
permitted by CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna
and Flora).
