Further Details As part of your unit on Connections and Satire you will complete an analytical essay,
where you analyse the play, The Importance of Being Earnest. You will have one week of class time to
plan, draft and write the analytical essay. You will need to respond to the following question:
How has Oscar Wilde used comedy for the purpose of social commentary in his play, The Importance
of Being Earnest?
