1.0 SCOPE
1.1. Purpose
This document provides a general description of the management and organization process for Working
at Night Shift on the Riyadh Metro Project Package 2 Line 3 SR-JV Working Areas.

1.2 Applicability
Applicable to All SR-JV Activities with Riyadh Metro Project where working at not shift if applicable.

2.0 Responsibilities

The Manager of Health, Safety and Environmental is responsible for:

Ensuring that training material is current and of an appropriate quality.


Ensuring safety and environmental systems are kept up to date in relation to this procedure.
Recording and analyzing incident / investigation data.
Ensuring that this procedure is reviewed as stipulated.

2.1 Site Managers


Have the responsibility for the management or control of a work place, within their area of authority,
and must ensure this procedure is implemented. They shall maintain a Hazard and Risk register and
appropriate signage for their work place; and shall ensure that competent and accountable persons
assigned for the management and execution of work within their area of authority, conduct appropriate
Risk Assessments.

2.2 Accountable Persons


Has the responsibility for following this procedure and ensuring those working under their control follow
this procedure. They have responsibility for the safety of personnel following this procedure and for
maintaining appropriate records relating to their activities.

Line Managers, Asset Owners and their delegates, SR-JV s, Site Managers and Project Managers,
Authorized Issuing Officers and Persons in Charge are all examples of Accountable Persons.

3. Training
All Department Heads shall ensure that employees of their particular Department are informed of the
Requirements of the law, the risk factors in their workplace, and the location of the written workplace
Violence Prevention program.

Training is also required for employees on the measures employees can take to protect themselves from
risks and the details of the written workplace violence prevention program. Employee workplace
violence training is to be provided at the time of job assignment and annually thereafter. In addition
to the training required by law, the Department of Public Safety shall provide additional training on a

per request basis to County departments and offices to address the potential for violence in the
workplace.

4. Reporting Of Violence
At the core of this procedure is the Projects commitment to work with its employees to maintain the
work environment free from violence and other disruptive behavior to the greatest degree possible.

Any employee, upon becoming aware of an instance of physical assault, threatening behavior or verbal
abuse occurring in the work setting, must immediately report the facts and circumstances of said
incident to their supervisor. In the event that employees observe or experience violent behavior from
employees or visitors in which there is an imminent threat to their safety or the safety of others or
where injury has occurred, the employee should immediately obtain security and medical assistance and
in addition notify their supervisor.

The supervisor will immediately conduct a preliminary inquiry into the facts and circumstances of the
incident and make a prompt report to the Department Head / Designee.

All Work place violence will be reported to Saudi Police as per law.

All Workplace Violence incidents will be fully investigated

Retaliation against an employee who makes a good faith report of violence or disruptive behavior is
strictly prohibited and shall be subject to appropriate corrective action or disciplinary measures.

An employee, who, in bad faith makes a false report, is also subject to disciplinary action.

5. Risk Evaluation
Workplace violence can occur in any workplace setting. However, some settings or factors may pose a
greater degree of workplace violence risk. Employment situations or factors that may pose higher risk
for employees include, but are not limited to:

Working in public setting

Working late or early morning hours

Working alone or in Small numbers

Working in setting with uncontrolled access to the work place

Working in settings where previous problems have occurred.

Having a mobile workplace assignment
