Calculate the design bending moment capacity Mu of the beam with fc=32MPa and
fsy=500MPa.

Dimensions of the beam to be as following:

D=500mm,

d= 475mm,

b= last three digits of your student number but no less than 150,

Ast= first three digits of your student number approximated to the nearest bar diameter (no less
than 2 bars). For example, if the first 3 digits of your student number are 320, you can choose
3N12 (total area = 3x110=330mm2), or 2N16 (total area = 2x200=400mm2).

If your p<pmin, adopt pmin for your design,

If your p>pmax (based on ku=0.36), use pmax for your design.
