Control Module (EPS)

HELLA has developed a steering control module for Electric
Power Steering (EPS) which allows a demand-driven operation
of the EPS to increase the fuel-efficiency of the vehicle. Thereby,
the customer benefits from:
Compact design and easy integration
Readiness for ASIL D

HELLA provides an ECU for all types of Electronic Power

Steering Systems that controls the electric motor power supply,
supporting comfortable and fuel efficient driving. The ECU
calculates the required steering torque necessary, based on
incoming steering sensor signals, achieving a demand driven
operation.

Apart from EPS ECUs the steering competence of HELLA is

based on steering sensors, motor position sensors and DC/DC
converters as well.
