Ans: There are a lot of terms used to describe computers. Most of these
words imply the size, expected use or capability of the computer. While the
term computer can apply to virtually any device that has
a microprocessor in it, most people think of a computer as a device that
receives input from the user through a mouse or keyboard, processes it in
some fashion and displays the result on a screen.

2, Classification of computers? Give each meaning and uses?

MICRO COMPUTERS (PERSONAL COMPUTER)

This is the most commonly type of computer in use. It is smaller, cheaper and less powerful than
mainframes and minicomputer. In the microcomputer all, the component are integrated in one
system known as the system unit.
3, what are the personal computer in different forms?
Ans: Computers that are focus-fully designed for individual users and
purposes are known as Personal Computers. All personal computers are
based on the microprocessor technology that provides manufacturers to
put an entire CPU on one chip. In businesses personal computers are used
for accounting, running spreadsheets, database management and many
purposes like that. At home, PCs are used for playing games, surfing
internet, doing studies, graphic designing and other educational purposes
like that.

Ans: An operating system (OS) is system software that
manages computer hardware and software resources and
provides common services for computer programs. All computer
programs, excluding firmware, require an operating system to
function.

2, Give example the oldest to latest operating system.

Ans: Laptops, tablets, and desktop computers all run operating

systems that you've probably heard of.

Some examples include versions of Microsoft Windows (like Windows

10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows
XP), Apple's macOS (formerly OS X) Chrome OS, and flavors of the
open source operating system Linux.

Your smartphone runs an operating system too, probably either

Apple's iOS or Google's Android. Both are household names but you
may not have realized that they are the operating systems
being utilized on those devices.

3. What are devices of a computer? Define each.

Ans: ay you just bought a new computer and, with excitement, you
unpack it and set it all up. The first thing you want to do is print out some
photographs of the last family party. So it's time to head back to the store
to buy a printer. A printer is known as a peripheral device.
A computer peripheral is a device that is connected to a computer but
is not part of the core computer architecture. The core elements of a
computer are the central processing unit, power supply, motherboard
and the computer case that contains those three components.
Technically speaking, everything else is considered a peripheral device.
However, this is a somewhat narrow view, since various other elements
are required for a computer to actually function, such as a hard drive and
random-access memory (or RAM).
