a) producer, consumer, decomposer;
c) predator and prey.

Activity
The students will each be creating a storyboard of a food chain using
the Storyboard That website. The students will be labeling the
producers, consumers, and decomposers. Students will also be labeling
predators and prey. The teacher will be going around and assisting
students with the activity.

Directions for Use 1. First the teacher will show in the smartboard how to complete
the assignment.
2. First the teacher will, open the Internet then go to storyboard
that website.
3. Then the teacher will, go to the scenes tab and click Outdoors.
4. After that the teacher will, choose a climate for the ecosystem
drag the image to the first story box. Repeat this step until you
have filled the three story boxes with the same ecosystem of
their choice.
5. Next the teacher will, click the characters tab at the top of the
page (next to the scenes tab).
6. After doing this the teacher will, go to the first box on the
storyboard: Label the producer in their image. Then choose
their consumer for the image.
7. Then the teacher will, go to the second box, choose two
predators from the animal choices that belong in the
background, and label them.
8. Next the teacher will, go to the third box choose two prey that
their predators in the second box would eat, and label them.
9. Finally the teacher will save the storyboard as their last name.
10. Then the class will repeat the process on their own, choosing
their own ecosystems, producers, and consumers, and labeling
them.
