1
Tear-off sensor

All safes have holes for mounting a tear-off sensor but the mounting set for the tear-off
sensor is not supplied with the device.

To ensure that the tear-off sensor can be mounted after the device has been installed, a
hole for the tear-off sensor has to be drilled prior to the installation of the installation
frame.
To be able to mount the tear-off sensor, the hole has to be cleaned with a vacuum
cleaner and a resin cartridge (e.g. UPAT multicone, Fischer resin cartridge RM) has to
be inserted.
Thus the alarm technician will be able to mount the tear-off sensor in the safe easily
after the device is installed.
Ask your alarm technician about the size of the hole and the cartridge. The maximum
diameter for the hole to take the fixing is;
22 mm (0.87") in safe.

Drilling diagram

The following figure specifies the distance from the edge of the device of the drill holes
that are used to secure ProCash 280FL and the tear-off sensor.

The position of the drilling template and thus of the bore diagram also depends on the
installation type that is used.

Drilling depths:

Holes for UL safe: At least 125 mm (4.92") in concrete.

For the hole diameter please refer to the
mounting instructions of the caulking
cartridge supplied with the mounting set.

Hole for tear-off sensor: At least 40 mm (1.57") in concrete; Consult

your alarm technician about the size of the
hole and the cartridge.

Installation procedure (Frontload) UL safe/CEN L safe
This section describes how to proceed with the installation of a ProCash 280FL with UL
safe or CEN L safe.

Observe the specified maintenance space when positioning the device.

Make sure that the clearance between the vents and the wall is at least 50 mm
(1.97").

If a tear-off sensor is to be installed, also mark the holes for the tear off sensor.

1) Drilling the required holes

Position the drilling template & mark the holes to be drilled for mounting the
device & the mounting bracket.

Be sure to adhere to the dimensions given in the following illustrations for

relevant installations.

Numbers marked in following illustration is described as follows;

The drilled holes in the concrete foundation must have a depth of at least 125
mm (4.92") for the safe. For the hole diameter please refer to the instructions for
the caulking cartridge.
The drilled hole in the concrete foundation must have a depth of at least 40 mm
(1.57") for the tear-off sensor. Consult your alarm technician about the size of the
hole and the fixing.

Clean the bore holes as specified in the mounting instructions of the caulking
cartridge.

To ensure that the safe does not become detached, the threaded rods must
be fastened in the concrete foundation.

This dimension is needed if the threaded rods from the mounting set are
used. For a different measure the threaded rods must be modified or replaced
by equivalent ones.

8
Allow the adhesive to cure for the specified time prior to applying any load.

3) Mounting structure of UL safe

First secure the threaded rods in the concrete foundation as specified in the
mounting instructions of the caulking cartridge.

Insert the fixing for the tear-off sensor if required.

The threaded rods must protrude at a minimum 27 mm (1.06") and at

a maximum 32 mm (1.26").
The overall drilling depth depends on the structural conditions. The
threaded rods must be anchored at least 125 mm (4.92") in the load
bearing concrete.
Excess lengths must be shortened correspondingly or, if necessary in
case of deeper floor anchorages, be replaced by equivalent threaded
rods.

Lifting the Cash Media Dispenser (CMD-V4) up

For ProCash 280 Frontload

Put the two track stops (1) (to be

found in the safe) in place as shown in
the illustration.
Remove the reject/retract cassette and
the cash-out cassettes (3) (see
operating manual).
Remove the securing screw (2) at the
end of the pull-out track, one each on
the right and on the left side.

To reduce the weight, all cassettes must be removed.

When lifting the CMD-V4 make sure that the connecting cables on the
rear side of the CMD-V4 controller are not damaged and that they are not
moved around

Swing the CMD-V4 (1) up until the

hole (2) above the pull-out tracks is
visible. Push the locking axle (3) (to be
found in the safe) in until the grooves
are in line with the side panels of the
CMD-V4 rack.
Check the firm fit of the CMD-V4 by
moving it slightly back and forth.

Mounting the ATM to the Floor | 8/30/2013

Place the device so that the holes
match.

When mounting the locking axle ensure that no cables are damaged in
the process.
Check the CMD-V4 for a secure fit. The locking axle must be firmly in
place.

10
Screw the device at the attachment
points (1) (for material see section
"Mounting set").
