TEKS OBJECTIVE 1:

(8) Geometry and measurement. The student applies mathematical process


standards to analyze attributes of two-dimensional shapes and three-
dimensional solids to develop generalizations about their properties. The
student is expected to:

(A) Create two-dimensional shapes based on given attributes,


including number of sides and vertices;

After teaching the lesson in Geometry about creating your own patches into two-
dimensional shapes, I would carry through the patch tool game so the students could have
a better understanding in geometry.

(1) Creativity and innovation. The student uses creative thinking and
innovative processes to construct knowledge and develop digital products.
The student is expected to:

(A) Apply prior knowledge to develop new ideas, products, and


processes;

I would utilize this game or activity in class on the computer so my students could be
familiar with the website illuminations and so they can see how helpful it is. It helps on
being more creative and constructing more knowledge.
