Project Description:
The Department has made a tentative deter-
mination to approve this application to
modify an existing permit for the discharge of
treated sanitary wastewater to groundwater
from the applicants facility located at Sound
Avenue and Hulse Landing, Riverhead. The
applicant plans to add seven (7) new outfalls
(020-026) for the sanitary discharge coming
from the proposed new cabins. Outfalls
020,022,024,026 are designed for 300 gallons
per day and 021, 023, and 025 for 600 gallons
per day. Outfall 019 is also reflected in the
modified application D form with a discharge
of 0 gallons per day. This outfall receives
discharge from the previously approved urine
tanks which discharge into a holding tank
where the waste is hauled.

an area designated as a sole source aquifer.

within a 3 mile radius of the applicants fa-

son. To ensure timely service at the time of
inspection, it is recommended that an ap-
