Reflection
True love doesnt have a happy ending because true love never ends. Wedding
Dance, a different kind of short story written by Amador Daguio that takes place in a
tribe wherein a wife, Lumnay, is not able to give birth that causes for her husband,
Awiyao, to leave her and takes another wife. How scornful it is for them but this
separation has to be done in accordance to the unwritten law. If ever Madulimay do not
give birth will there be a chance that Awiyao and Lumnay will be together again. It
presented the situation where they must let go of extreme emotions to give way for the
man to marry another woman. Awiyao couldnt bare the sadness seen in Lumnays face
anymore. They had to ignore the call of their hearts and free each otherjust for a
shallow view of an unwritten law. Their love for each other will remain forever even
though they are blocked by great barriers.

If I fail Ill come back to you... Then both of us will die together. Both of us will
vanish from the life of our tribe. A line taken from the story and a proof that therell be a
chance that the two can be together again. An assurance that Awiyao will just marry
Madulimay for the sake of the tribe. A promise he gives to Lumnay that even though
hell marry Madulimay his love for his first wife is still unfailing - never ending, intends to
never die, and will never be burn like lumbers thrown into angry flames of fire. A
compliment that if he fails for the second time to have a child, he still wants to spend his
life with the first woman he married.

Love grows by giving. The love we give away is the only love we keep. The only
way to retain love is to give it away. The love story between the two will never end for it
will grow and will retain in their hearts. The author has been indirect to this essence but
this is what he really mean - a love that will never lost even it is sacrifice and given or
taken away.

In conclusion, accepting it is the best thing to do if you let go. Considering that a
girl is happy with another person, a man must accept the fact, appreciate the happiness
to the girl that he loves, and also, to the benefit to all of those who are involved in a
relationship.
People all over the world become closer than ever before. Goods and services that appear in a
country will be immediately promoted in the others. International transfer and communication
are more common. For describing this present time, they use the term: THE ERA OF
GLOBALIZATION. This phenomenon affects the economic business and exerts a wide influence
on society at that. The growth of the developing countries is the main cause of globalization and
it brings both opportunities and disadvantages to them.
Globalization is a process and this process makes developments in these countries.
First of all is the independence of each of developing countries. The development in industry,
economy, culture and polity gives solutions to social problems. The most serious problem of all
of the governments in the world is unemployment, which leads to poverty, social crime, illiteracy,
can be easily clenched as most of the labour in developing countries are very cheap so the
multinational companies always employ the worker in host countries. Moreover when the
multinational companies cooperate with a country, they also bring their religion, culture, and life
style. Meeting them, the people in the poor country increase their standard of living and get
acquainted with new civilization. Furthermore, globalization also creates an aggressive
competition in industry. For the progression of industrialization, less developing countries
cooperate with more developing countries to get new technology or instruct employees to know
some modern methods. With these advantages, governments have a basic background to build
their country and escape from the Third World.
Globalization is such a commonly used term in the twentieth century. It simply means that the
world has become integrated economically, socially, politically and culturally through the
advances of technology, transportation and communication. It is undeniable that globalization
has resulted in both positive and negative effects which must be addressed accordingly.
To begin with, globalization has contributed to the worlds economies in many beneficial ways.
The advances in science and technology have allowed businesses to easily cross over territorial
boundary lines. Consequently, companies tend to become more productive and competitive
thereby raising the quality of goods, services and the worlds living standard.

Secondly, several companies from the more developed countries have already ventured to
establish foreign operations or branches to take advantage of the low cost of labor in the poorer
countries. This kind of business activity will provide more influx of cash or investment funds into
the less developed countries.
However, one cannot deny the negative effects which have derived from globalization. One
crucial social aspect is the risk and danger of epidemic diseases which can easily be spread as
the transportation becomes easier and faster in todays advanced society. This is evidenced in
the recent birds flu disease which has infected most Asian countries over a short period of time.
As large corporations invest or take over many offshore businesses, a modern form of
colonization will also evolve which may pose certain power pressure on the local governments
of the less developed countries. Unemployment rates in the more developed regions such as
Europe may also escalate as corporations choose to outsource to the cheaper work force from
Asian countries.
In conclusion. I like to reiterate that globalization is inevitable and we must urge individuals,
companies and governments to use a more balanced approach by taking the appropriate steps
to deal with matters relating to the financial or economic gains verses the social, political or
ecological concerns of the world.
