Installer (Windows only) Patch
Currently on Windows there are two ways of installing the patch: the auto-patcher (aka patch Clone this wiki locally
installer) and the legacy method (see Manual Installation). In this section we are going to cover the https://github.com/07th-mod/guide.wiki.git
auto-patcher method.
Clone in Desktop
The auto-patcher combines all the patches available to create the best experience possible. It will
automatically download and install the following content:
Full voiceover
PS3 backgrounds in Full HD
PS3 sprites and CGs (events) in Full HD
Updated MangaGamer sprites (when available)
Before we start, download the installer for the chapter of your choice below. Make sure to have at
least 5gb of temporary space available, the full installed patch should be around 2gb (varies
between chapters).
The new method makes the installation process very fast and painless. After downloading the
patch for the chapter of your choice, run it and set the installation directory to your Steam game
directory (also works for MangaGamer's DRM free release). If you are unsure where the Steam
game is located, find it on your Steam library, right-click on it and choose Properties . In the new
window that just opened, click on the LOCAL FILES tab and then on the Browse local files...
button. Now you should be able to see where your game is located in Windows Explorer.
Protip: copy the address bar in Windows Explorer and paste it in the installer!
After properly finding and directing the installation to the game's directory, hit the install button
and wait. The first step of the installation should be pretty fast, and a CMD window (Windows
command line) should open and do the rest of the installation automatically. When the process is
finished, it'll display a message and close the window automatically. The game should be already
patched and ready to play.
PSA: as reported, some antivirus softwares might warn you about the installer. This is a false
positive, and it happens because the installer runs a batch file (that results in the CMD window
opening to download and install the patch). The installer code can be freely accessed in our
Resource repository and is clean of viruses.
The updater feature a set of choices to update every part of the patch individually, ranging from
the scripts to the full voice patch. Currently it can only update one step at a time and cannot
identify if the version you are downloading is newer than the version you already have, but we are
working on it.
The updater should be easy to use and all the details about the installation are displayed in the
updater window.
Unfortunately, the auto-patcher method is not available for Unix systems. In this case, the only way
to patch the game is to manually download the files and extract them inside your game's directory.
That's on you for using Unix (just kidding).
Follow the table below to download all the pieces to install the full patch:
We recommend you to install the MangaGamer sprites patch. The MangaGamer sprites must
be always in the CGAlt folder.
2. After downloading all the files needed for your version of the game, navigate to
\HigurashiEp0X_Data\StreamingAssets (where X is the chapter number)
3. Extract the voices SE folder inside the StreamingAssets folder. Merge and overwrite the files
if asked.
4. Extract the patch Update and SE folders (if available) inside StreamingAssets (where X is the
chapter number). Merge and overwrite the files if asked.
5. Extract the graphics patch CG folder inside the StreamingAssets folder. Merge and overwrite
the files if asked.
Also follow these instructions if you are going to install the MangaGamer sprites patch:
6. Extract the MangaGamer sprites patch CGAlt folder inside the StreamingAssets folder. Merge
and overwrite the files if asked.

The patch installation by default cannot change the game settings. To achieve the best results,
open the game settings and configure it like the screenshot below:
