STATEMENT FROM THE INTEGRITY COMMISSION

Reference is drawn to an article in the Sunday Express of May 3rd 2015 at page four under the
headline Danas murder an act of terrorism. In the article the author inaccurately states that as
a consequence of a letter written by Seetahal, on July 18 to the Registrar of the Integrity
Commission, former chairman Kenneth Gordon stepped aside from the Commissions
investigation into email gate.

The Integrity Commission wishes to restate that at the first meeting of the seventh Integrity
Commission which was held on Thursday July 04, 2013, Chairman Kenneth Gordon indicated
that he will recuse himself from participating in any deliberations or decision regarding any
investigation the Commission may undertake into the authenticity of alleged emails disclosed by
Leader of the Opposition in the House of Representatives on May 20, 2013 as he was cognizant
of the importance of perception.

Mr. Gordons decision was confirmed at the Second Meeting of the seventh Commission which
took place on Tuesday, July 09, 2013. A statement to this effect was issued to all News Media
on July 18, 2013.

Mr. Justice Zainool Hosein was appointed Chairman of the Integrity Commission on November
21st 2014.
