Function To recycle Simple Past and Present Perfect Simple
Grammar Simple Past and Present Perfect Simple
Activities Warm up: Students will be asked about the markers that indicate
when an action is in the Simple Past or when an action is in the Present
Perfect. They will be asked about adverbs and the teacher will write
them on the board and they will have to exemplify both tenses. We will
play a tic tac toe with the time expressions so that students produce
sentences using them the time expressions previously reviewed.
Presentation: Then, they will be asked about the different ways of
communication available and they will read the text on page
Production: Then, they will discuss the questions on page 12. After
that, they will read the text and underline sentences in Simple Past and
Present Perfect. According to the examples, students will infer the rule
for each of the tenses used.
After that, students will complete exercise E on page 13. Finally,
students will work on page 6 (WB).

To practice both tenses in contrast
Simple Past vs Simple Present
Warm up:
Students will continue working on communication and they will recycle
Simple Past and Present Perfect and their uses. To check the Past
Participle students will be elicit to name different actions and then play
Bingo with the corresponding Past Participle.
Presentation:
Students will read a text on page 8 (Booklet) and they will select different
examples of the two tenses
Production:
Students will work on page 8 (Booklet) where they will have to complete
crossing out the correct time expression and then they will have to
rewrite the sentences using the words in brackets. All the activities will
be checked orally so as to clarify in case doubts arise.
