Violence Against Women

Violence against women is a continuous threat to women everywhere in the world.

Experienced pain in women both during and after the violence is in fact much more traumatic
than that experienced by men. Women receive less protection from violence, even the actors
there are trends that are legally and convincingly proven guilty of violence against women, shall
be punished lightly. Violence against women and girls is a grave violation of human rights. Its
impact ranges from immediate to long-term multiple physical, sexual and mental consequences
for women and girls, including death. It negatively affects womens general well-being and
prevents women from fully participating in society. Violence not only has negative consequences
for women but also their families, the community and the country at large. Challenges remain
however in implementing these laws, limiting women and girls access to safety and justice. Not
enough is done to prevent violence, and when it does occur, it often goes unpunished.

Many cases of violence in Indonesia that have sprung up. One of these cases angeline
who was tortured and killed by the step family. Angeline, an 8 year old, who was initially
reported missing was eventually found dead a few weeks later in the media in May 2015. Her
body was found near the chicken coop behind the house of his adoptive mother, Margriet
Christina Megawe invention Angeline bodies in the yard adoptive parents mengjutkan many
parties. Girl who earlier reported missing turned out to be a murder victim. Not unexpectedly,
under a chicken coop that was, body of Angeline was buried. After intensive examination, police

her. After killing in the room, Agus also managed to indecent assault to the victim. After doing
indecent assault, Agus let the bodies Angeline some time in his room. Then she decided to bury
Angeline in the yard. Police finally set Margriet Christina Megawe as a suspect homicide
adopted daughter, Angeline. Status of the suspects charged after the Bali Police conducted a
series of in-depth investigation including forensic test. the police have been strong enough to
establish Margriet as a suspect in the murder of these are based on the recognition of Agus which
was already a suspect in a murder case Angeline. Further evidence based on the results of the
investigation at the crime scene at the house of Margriet. From examination of the crime scene
that do more than one show Margriet very strong involvement in the killing Angeline. Further

Besides angeline also recently appeared rape of minors is yuyun who raped 14 people, a toddler
who was raped by a man aged over 30 years old and a girl 19 years old who brutally murdered
using a hoe by 3 men.

I think any form of violence against women must be addressed seriously so that does not
happen again. Punishment must be upheld and given severe sanctions such as killed or castrated.
If the sentence is upheld, the light of violence against women will continue to occur and moral of
nation will be decrease. As assessed by feminism beforehand that gender equality must be upheld
and the rights of women are not undermined. Cruel acts that must be destroyed so that security is
maintained. I wish Governments, civil society organizations and other institutions to advocate
for ending violence, increase awareness of the causes and consequences of violence and build
capacity of partners to prevent and respond to violence. We also promote the need for changing
norms and behaviour of men and boys, and advocate for gender equality and womens rights. As
a women, I supports expanding access to quality multi-sectoral responses for survivors covering
safety, shelter, health, justice and other essential services. Policy guidance helps to step up
investments in preventionthe most cost-effective, long-term means to stop violence.
