1. Review what they have learnt in the last chapter
2. Be introduced to the second chapter of syllabus
3. Listen to a conversation and discuss the difference of invitations and requests
using the audio playback.

ACTIVITIE 1. For todays class, students are going to review the information which they have
S learnt in the last chapter. The review will be in the form of questions, teacher can
choose to make the question as part of in class work or as homework.
2. In the second part of the lesson, teacher introduces the new chapter to students.
Ensure that students understand the objectives of this chapter before starting the
lesson.
3. The lesson starts with a listening activity which student will be listening to an
audio sample of a conversation between a father and his son.
4. Using the activity in the textbook, students complete the task while listening to the
audio playback.
5. After the listening activity, students are instructed to discuss about the
conversation they have just listen. The discussion topic can be seen in the
textbook.
6. If time permits, teacher continues with the role play activity where students will
act as if they are having a video-conference/ video-call conversation with a
friend. Students use the text provided to act out the conversation. Students who
are listening are instructed to pay attention to sentences that shows making
invitations and making requests.
