DECREE OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA

NUMBER : 22 OF 1993

ON
DISEASES OCCURRED DUE TO WORK RELATION
PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA,

Considering : whereas in order to improve protection to

labor, Law Number 3 of 1992 on Labor Social

Security, to stipulate the needs of

regulation on diseases which are occurred due

to work relation with Presidential Decree.

In view of : 1. Article 4 paragraph (1) of the 1945

Constitution;

2. Law Number 3 of 1992 on Labor Social

Security

3. Government Regulation Number 14 of 1993

on Implementation of Labor Social

Security (State Gazette of the Republic

of Indonesia of 1993 Number 20,

Supplement to the State Gazette of the

Republic of Indonesia Number 3520);

DECIDED:

To stipulate : DECREE OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF

INDONESIA CONCERNING DISEASES OCCURRED DUE TO

WORK RELATION.

Article 1

Diseases occurred due to work relation is diseases caused by

work or work environment.

Article 2

Every labor who suffers diseases occurred due to work

relation is entitled to obtain Work Accident Security whether

upon in work relation or after work relation ends.

Article 3

(1) Right for Work Accident Security for labor whose work

relation has ended as intended in Article 2 given, if

according to diagnosis result of the doctor caring for

the disease that it is caused by work for the concerned

labor is still in the work relation.

(2) Right of Work Accident Security as intended in paragraph

(1) given, if such diseases occurred in the period at the

latest of 3 (three) years to be counted since the work

relation ends.

Article 4

Diseases occurred due to work relation as intended in Article

1, as contained in Attachment of this Presidential Decree.

Article 5

This Presidential Decree shall be effective as of the

enactment date.

DECREE OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA
Number 22 of 1993 Dated 27 February 1993

Concerning

DISEASES OCCURRED DUE TO WORK RELATION

1. Pneumoconiosis caused by mineral dust of scarring

composer

(silicosis, antracosilicosis, asbestosis) and

silicotubercolosis which its silicosis is the main factor

causing defect or death.

2. Lung diseases and respiratory system (bronchopulmer)

which is caused by solid metal dust.

3. Lung diseases and respiratory system (bronchopulmer)

which is caused by cotton dust, vlas, henep and sisal

(bissinosis).

4. Asthma due to work which is caused by the sensitization

cause and stimulus substance known to be in the work

process.

5. Alveolitis allegica which is caused by external factor as

the cause of organic dust inhalation.

6. Diseases caused by berrilium or its toxic compound.

7. Diseases caused by cadmium or its toxic compound.

8. Diseases caused by phosphor or its toxic compound.

9. Diseases caused by chrome or its toxic compound.

10. Diseases caused by mangan or its toxic compound.

11. Diseases caused by arsenic or its toxic compound.

12. Diseases caused by mercury or its toxic compound.

13. Diseases caused by lead or its toxic compound.

14. Diseases caused by flour or its toxic compound.

15. Diseases caused by carbon disulfide.

16. Diseases caused by halogen derivative of hydrocarbon

aliphatic compound or toxic aromatic.

17. Diseases caused by benzene or its toxic homologue.

18. Diseases caused by nitro derivative and amina of benzene

or its toxic homologue.

19. Diseases caused by nitrogliserin or other esther nitrate

acid.

20. Diseases caused by alcohol, glycol, or keton.

21. Diseases caused by gas or vapor causing asphyxia or

poisoning such as carbon monoxide, hydrogencyanide,

hydrogensulfide, or its toxic derivative, zinc ammonia,

braso and nickel.

22. Hearing defect caused by noisiness.

23. Diseases caused by mechanic vibration (defects of tendon,

vein, joint bones, peripheral blood vessels, peripheral

nerve).

24. Diseases caused by work in more affected air.

25. Diseases caused by electro magnetic radiation and ionized

radiation.

26. Skin diseases (dermatosis) caused by physical, chemical

and biological causes.

27. Epitelioma primer skin cancer caused by ter, pic,

bitumen, mineral oil, antrasena or compounds, product or

residue of the substance.

28. Lung cancer or mesotelioma caused by asbes.

29. Diseases caused by virus, bacteria or parasite obtained

in a work having special contamination risk.

30. Diseases caused by high or low temperature or radiation

or high air humidity.

31. Diseases caused by other chemical element including drug

element.
