Dear Parent,
We at JHS believe that technology and education (Congnitive Learning) go hand in hand and we
are committed to providing high education solutions by using innovative technology, adoption
of advances in pedagogy.

We are extremely happy to inform you that we have introduced Edurite’s digital content and
learning framework, “DigitALly” in all our classrooms. “DigitALly” is mapped to different
curricula, with audio-visual lesson plans, teacher guidelines, animated 2D / 3D content,
interactive modules, videos for the labs and experiments, PowerPoint presentations,
worksheets, among a host of other teaching aids and learning enhancers

ICT Solution Implementation Model

1. The traditional classroom is converted into an ICT room with a ceiling mounted
projector and an interactive white board. The computers are equipped with a library of
digital resources mapped to the school syllabus.
2. A keyboard, mouse and stylus are provided and can be used by teachers according to
their convenience inside classrooms.
3. Teachers and students can use the interactive board as a replacement for the
black/white board. Also whatever content being drawn or written on the board can the
stored for future reference.
4. The projection medium is so positioned that all students are able to view the
instruction materials displayed by the teacher in the class. A set of high-quality
speakers are attached to the projection medium is also installed in the classroom.

Advantages of use of ICT in classrooms include:

Superior Training Outcomes – Rich audio-visual content enhanced results in schools.

Superior Learning – Children are able to understand and supply concepts easily – it takes
teachers 50% lesser time to teach a concept to students. Teacher productivity increases
because repetition is eliminated.

Ease of Assessment – Group quizzes, Worksheets, etc. make assessments easier for the
teacher.

Teacher Productivity Enhancement – Teachers are able to use the tools to enhance their
productivity through better class preparation.

Teacher Innovation – Teachers are provided a wide range of technology tools that provides
them creative options for improving their teaching.

Tracking of Training Delivery – A digital teaching trail allows management, administrators to


track training delivery while also helping teachers keep track of and retrieve their work.

Knowledge sharing – Knowledge of teachers is captured to facilitate sharing – Creating a


knowledge repository for school that becomes their unique intellectual property. Promotes
teamwork among teachers and facilitates rapid learning for junior teachers.

Creation of a unique content Enhancement ecosystem – Teachers, Parents, students can


collaborate to enhance the existing rich content through internet and other resources that are
becoming ubiquitous.

We believe that “SCHOOL TRIPS” are an integral part of the school programme as they provide
a valuable experience for students. We are happy to inform that we are arranged a school trip
to AAMBY VALLEY for the students of Grades 4 to 10 in the last week of August 2010.

A tentative Itinerary is given below fro your kind information

Day Itinerary
Day – 1 Bangalore – Pune
0800hrs Assemble at Bangalore International Airport. Board the flight 6E 102
to Pune departing
Bangalore at 0945hrs and arrival at Pune by 1120hrs.
On arrival at Pune you will be met by our representative and proceed to
Aamby Vallley City (approx 95 Kms/2 hrs drive)
1300 – 1330hrs: Arrival at Aamby Valley check-in to The Spanish Cottages and
relax for sometime.

Day 2 0830 hrs – 0930 hrs breakfast


1100 hrs – 1300 hrs city tour of Aamby valley city.
1330hrs – 1500hrs Lunch
1600hrs – 1800hrs enjoy the Jet Ski.
1800hrs – Evening Tea, Coffee with cookies
After the activity you are at liberty to spend time on your own or enjoy the
other activities that the Aamby Valley provides.
2000hrs – 2230hrs Dinner Overnight stay at Aamby Valley City.

Day 3 0830hrs – 0930hrs: breakfast


1100hrs – 1300hrs enjoy Zorbing (Adventure Activity – It is a transparent ball
in which two persons are harnessed in. The Zorb is then rolled down a slope)
1330hrs – 1500hrs: Lunch
After lunch rest of the day you are at liberty to spend time on your own or
enjoy the other activities that the Aamby Valley provides.
1800hrs – Evening Tea, Coffee with cookies
2000hrs – 2230hrs Dinner
Overnight stay at Aamby Valley City
Day 4 Departure
0830hrs – 0930hrs: breakfast
1000hrs: check out
1100 hrs Depart from Aamby Valley city and proceed to Pune Airport en-
route halt at Lonavala for Lunch
1300hrs proceed to Pune Airport (approx 70Kms / 01hr drive).
Board the flight 6E 105 to Bangalore departing Pune at 1710hrs and arrival at
Bangalore by 1830hrs.

Kindly Note:

1. Student’s participation in the school trip is purely optional.


2. The cost of the trip is RS. 32,000/- Payable by Cash/DD/Cheque in the name of Jain
Heritage School.
3. The full amount has to be deposited at JHS office before 10th August 2010.
4. The consent forms have to be returned to the respective class teacher before 9th
August 2010.
