EKIN Proje: June 2012 November 2013

Worked as Sr. HSE Engineer / HSE Manager with EKIN Proje, Qatar at New Doha
International Airport Project :
(A USD 15.5 billion project that will accommodate 24 million passengers and
750,000 metric tons of cargo annually. It features a 510,000-square-meter
passenger terminal building with 40 gates). Main consultant is Overseas Bechtel
Incorporation (OBI) and main contractor is Sky Oryx Joint Venture SOJV; a joint
venture between Taisi Corporation of Japan and TAV of Turkey. While EKIN is the
largest subcontractor of Passenger Terminal Building CP 18

My job there involved:

Manage all the ES&H aspects of the Project on site and Report to the Project
Manager, Construction Manager and relevant management meetings on
the safety progress and all non-conformities to Health, Safety and
Environment Management System (HSEMS) on the project sites and provide
guidance and resources to the line managements.
Managing ES&H Action Notices
Attend safety meetings and actively participated in decision making to
improve safe working conditions/practices
Review and preparation of Risk Assessments and method statements
Comply with the OBI and SOJV safety program to ensure that accidents
should be avoided and achieve the Target Zero or accident-free project.
Active involvement in investigation of major accidents, dangerous
occurrences & near misses to analyse root causes and learning points.
 Submit report to corporate & site management with corrective and
preventive measures.
Providing EKIN management and construction/commissioning teams
technical advice and assistance in relation to ES&H
