ofthefreedomfromlateralforces,whichmeansthatthefrictionintheshockabsorberisreduced
resultinginamoresimilardisplacementvolumeinthetractionandcompressiondirectionsforthe
shockabsorber.Thisisimportantfortheuseofanelectronicallyadjustableshockabsorbersystem.
Thefrontaxleisalmostentirelymadeofaluminium,whichhelpswithaxle-loaddistributionandthe
vehicleweight.
Thesteeringgearcanbeeasilyremovedforrepairifneeded.Time-consumingdismantlingofthefront
axleisunnecessary.

isused(straightwishbones).Thetopwishbonehasbeenmanufacturedasanaluminiumforged
wishbonebecauseofitsmorecomplexdesign.
Replacementoftherubbermountsonsheetsteelwishbonesasaserviceoperationisnotpermitted.

Brakestandby Buildsupamoderatebrakepressurewhenthedrivertakeshis
footofftheacceleratorpedalveryquickly.Thismeansthatthe
brakingeffectwillbeginsoonerintheeventofsubsequentpanic
braking.
FadingBrakeSupport Supportsthedriverwhenbrakingifthebraketemperaturehas
becomeveryhighduetoanextremedrivingstyleandthedesired
decelerationcanbeachievedonlybyapplyingahigherbrake
force.
Drive-offassistant Holdsthevehicleforapproximately1.5secondsonuphill
gradientsalthoughthedriverhasalreadyreleasedthebrake.
Thismeansthatthedrivercandriveoffcomfortably,withoutthe
vehiclerollingbackdownthehillunintentionally.
AutomaticHold Automaticallyholdsthevehicleafterithascometoastandstill
withoutitbeingnecessarytostillpressthebrakewhenthedrive
positionisselected.Thebrakeisautomaticallyreleasedagainon
subsequentacceleration.Thereisabuttontoenableanddisable
thefunctionmanually.
Electricparkingbrake WhentheparkingbrakebuttonispressedtheDSCcontrolunit
controlsthetwoactuatorsontherearaxlebrakecaliper.Thetwo
electricmotorsintheactuatorsoperateaspindledrivewhich
usesthebrakepistontopressthebrakepadsagainstthebrake
