In order to maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle, I have to be more aware of what I

am eating. The menu that I created for one day in which will include a low-calorie and healthy

opinion. For breakfast, I will eat two slices of wheat bread, one cup of Greek yogurt with berries,

and one glass of orange juice. For Lunch, I will eat one bowl of steamed white rice, steamed

vegetables, egg and avocado sandwich, and a cup of soy milk. For dinner, I will eat spaghetti

pasta, a green salad with light balsamic vinaigrette, a fruit cup, and one glass of orange juice. For

snacks, I will eat almonds, and a light fruit yogurt. After completing this project, I realize that on

some days I was consuming more calories than I should be. I believe that I should not eat foods

and drinks with too much sweet and fat. I should be more aware of the serving size that I am

eating and I will pay more attention to the nutrition labels. This project did surprise me at first

when I realize that my caloric intake for the day was over the limit and that I did not know the

snacks I ate add up to a lot of calories. The project helped me be more aware and pay attention to

what I am eating that is not good for my body and what I should eat instead to maintain a healthy

weight and body. Overall, the project was very informative and allow me to gain more

knowledge of how my body is and how healthy eating I am doing. One nutrition goal I am going

to set for myself is to substitute Sprite with water because a can of sprite usually contains a lot of

calories and has a huge amount of sugar. Another goal I am going to set is instead of having any

greasy and oily food like pizza or fish and chips, I will substitute with a healthier option like

steamed vegetables with chicken breasts. The last goal that I have is to limit the amount of fast

foods I eat because many fast foods do not offer the best meal options. For example, if I am

going to a fast food restaurants instead of ordering French fries, I will substitute it with a salad or

something that contains a low amount of calories and oil. By following the goals, I will be able

to live a healthier lifestyle without any problems.
