Material must be stored away from water and extreme humid source to avoid
corrosion.
Material to be arranged on shelves or over pallets, above ground.
Material shall not be stored under direct sunlight
Stacking, if required for space management, to be as per manufacturer
recommendation.
8. DESCRIPTION OF WORKS
8.1. GENERAL
STARRT Card session will be conducted and signed before the commencement of
the works.
Make the necessary preparation for the installation works such as materials, tools
and equipment are ready at site. The use of PPE should be imposed on all the
personnel involved in the installation works.
The installation shall comply with Lusail Specification & QCS.
The installation work should comply with the applicable safety rules and
regulations. Prior to start the installation, make sure that all material which to be
used for installation are approved.
Prior to start the installation, make sure that shop drawings were approved
Wires & cables installed in the trunking for each circuit, sub circuit or final sub circuit
shall be tied together at regular intervals.
All joints and terminations in power cables will be made by certified cable splicers
or jointers inspected without objection by the consultant.
All termination has taken place all cable boxes enclosures will be vacuum cleaned
to ensure that all cable cuttings, dirt and debris is removed.

requirement.
Perform each visual and mechanical inspection and electrical test stated in NETA
Acceptance Testing Specification. Certify comply with test parameters.
After substantial completion, but not more than 60 days after final acceptance,
perform an infra-red scan of each splice in cables and conductors 25mm2 and
larger. Remove box and equipment covers, so splices are acceptable to
portable scanner.
Correct malfunctioning products at site where possible and retest to demonstrate
compliance, otherwise remove and replace with new units and retest.
Type of Wires & Cable testing
Continuity check
Insulation resistance test
Phase polarity test
Test Reports; Prepare a written report to record the following
Test procedures used
Test results that comply with requirements
Test results that do not comply with requirements and corrective action
taken to achieve compliance with requirements
