Life as a House

Synopsis
We build a house on the floor as the show progresses and we use that prop to parallel the progression
of a life of someone who has been given 4 months to live. It should be minimally narrated as a first
person retrospective ala Forrest Gump / American Beauty hybrid.

Opener (1:00)
The status quo (0:15)
o Sandwich the quote with Hospital ambiance at the begining4 months ago I was given a
death sentence more vocal background (terminal, patient, doctor, nurse)
Hostipal equipment sounds (beeps, blips, etc)
Echoes of a doctors voice talking about cancer

Ill take this one (0:45)

o (inspiration for music, doesnt just arrange that). Need an unsettling mood, lack of
resolution, solemn. Need to create a big impressive ending, no actual resolution

Then have an I remember quote that leads us back into life events I remember spending my childhood
here I remember spending my childhood summers here. - play around with sustaining the first note
of building a family for a second or two then play the quote while still sustained or moving into the
music with bare parts.

Too complicated to try and explain marriage, divorce, and get back together

Do whatever you have to to make them sound incredible for 1:00

o Maybe set them in some event or environment, like a day at the beach
o This needs to show of some technical and virtuosity
