05/2008 – Present Central California Chapter, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Member of
the Board of Trustees.
03/2008 – Present Library of California Heartland Regional Library Network, Board Member.
02/2007 – Present Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), Participant, America’s Most
Beautiful Bike Ride, 2007 & 2008, El Tour De Tucson, 2007 (all century
bike rides), and the Nike Women’s Marathon, 2008, raising over $15,000
for LLS.
10/2000 – 10/2001 Plan Takoma, Inc., Washington, DC, President, a neighborhood civic
association representing neighbors in the Takoma, DC section of Ward 4.
05/2000 - 05/2001 Law Librarians' Society of Washington, D.C, Inc. (LLSDC), Immediate
Past President.

06/1997 - 06/1998 LLSDC, Chair, Web Development Committee. This committee oversees
the development of the LLSDC Web page at www.llsdc.org. Issues
include design, content and the selling of advertising space.

Editor, The Books Column.
05/1996 - 05/1997 LLSDC, Chair, Academic Special Interest Section (SIS) of. Developing
programs for the Academic SIS that will attract and educate the
membership of the SIS and the Society as a whole.
09/1994 - 09/1997 LLSDC, Steering Committee, Internet Users Group. Developed seminars
for Society members on how to use the Internet for legal research, file
transfer and communication
1994 & 1995 LLSDC, Member, Nominations Committee. Selected and nominated
Society members for elected positions within the Society.
06/1990 AALL Annual Meeting, Panelist. Presented a speech on the rights of the
public pro se patron, and potential issues of unauthorized practice of law
faced by law librarians assisting such patrons, which later appeared as an
article in Law Library Lights, the newsletter of LLSDC.
PUBLICATIONS:
Co-Editor, The Encyclopedia of Legal Information Sources, 2d Edition,
published by Gale Research in September 1992. Responsible, with co-
editor, Patrick Petit, for the revision and expansion of the reference work;
included extensive research of new titles and topics, as well as updating
the existing material contained in the previous edition.
