5_Installation Guidelines

Version2.5 Installation Guidelines

Compatible with WampServer Version 2.0 and XAMPP version 1.7.2

Step : 1 Download and extract SimpleHRM package to the root directory of your Apache installation.

Step : 2 Enable the rewrite module in your server. To enable the rewrite module in httpd.conf file follow the
below details.
Load Module rewrite_module module/mod_rewrite
Restart the apache server, after enable the rewrite module
If already enabled rewrite_module, Please ignore step2

Step :3 Provide the necessary Server Name [localhost (or) your system IP address], MySQL user
authentication details. (Please create MySQL user and password through phpMyAdmin. No need to
create the database and enter the same user name and password in MySQL user and MySQL
password text box).

Step : 4 After installation has been done, rename or delete the install folder.

Step : 5 Please add your mail server details in php.ini configuration file and restart the apache server.(SMTP
configuration is used for mail workflow if you are not configure mail will not send your mail address)
SMTP = Your mail server host
Smtp_host = 25
Sendmail_from = your company mail address

User Note:

1. User\Role feature is for Administrator only, it is not applicable for employee.

2. For Employee Self Service ( i.e, To apply Leave, To report employee tasks etc.,) the employee login credentials will be
automatically sent to the respective employee email address which is provided by the addministrator while adding an
employee.
