RESUMEN
En este trabajo se han usado las ecuaciones de estado (EOS) de SoaveRedlichKwong (SRK),
PengRobinson(PR)yAGA8DC92(AGA)enlaprediccindeladensidadparadiferentesgases
naturales.SerecomiendaelusodelasecuacionesSRKyPRenelintervalode240a350Kyde1
a8MPa(SRK)y de1a15MPa(PR),porproducirerroresmenoresal3%,loqueesvlidopara
los613puntosexperimentalesquesetomarondelaliteraturatalsituacinesventajosaporser
lasecuacionesdeestadomsfcilesdemanipularquelaecuacinAGA.Sinembargo,todoslos
clculosrealizadosdemuestranquelaecuacinAGAessuperioralas ecuacionesSRKyPRen
todoelrangodepresinytemperaturadelosdatosexperimentalesusados.Se hadesarrollado
unaherramientacomputacionalpara elclculo deladensidad ( r )yfactordecompresibilidad
( Z ),queincorporaunabasededatosde r experimentalparadiferentesgasesnaturales.

ABSTRACT
In this work the SoaveRedlichKwong (SRK), PengRobinson (PR), and AGA8DC92 (AGA)
equationsofstatehavebeenusedtopredictthedensityofdifferentnaturalmixtures.Asaresult,
SRKandPRarestronglyrecommendedfortemperatureswithintherange240350K.Asforthe
pressure,SRKyieldedbetterresultswithintherange240350K.Asforthepressure,SRKyielded
betterresultswithintherange1to8MPa,whereasPRwasmoreaccurateforpressuresranging
from1to15MPa.Theerrorsobtainedweresmallerthan3%forallthe613experimentalpoints
taken from the literature, which is convenient due to the fact that AGA is not easy to handle.
Nevertheless,AGAdisplayedthebestperformanceineverycalculationandprovedtobesuperior
to either SRK or PR in the whole range of conditions used in this investigation. Finally, a
computational tool has been developed to calculate density ( r ) and compressibility factor ( Z ).
Suchatoolincorporatesanexperimentaldatabaseof r fordifferentgasnaturalmixtures.
