INTRODUCTION
Business Planning consists of those processes performed to establish the total scope of the effort,
define and refine the objectives, and develop the course of action required to attain strategic
objectives.
This progressive detailing of the business plan is called progressive elaboration, indicating that
planning and documentation are iterative and ongoing activities.
The scope of business refers to everything about a business deliverable as well as the features
and requirements needed to produce or procure those products.
It allows business to focus on the activities that produce the greatest returns.
Business Schedule Plan is the process of establishing the policies, procedures and documentation
for analyzing activity sequences, durations, resource requirements, and schedule constraints to
create the business schedule model.
Revising and maintaining the project schedule model to sustain a realistic schedule continues
throughout the duration of the project.
It sets the format and standards by which the business project costs are measured, reported and
controlled and also describe the activities related to purchasing of goods and services for a
business entity.
The field of business cost has three primary areas of focus: budgeting, vendor management and
strategic purchasing.
PLAN BUSINESS QUALITY: The Quality Plan is an integral part of any business project
management plan which purpose is:
Business risks implies uncertainty in profits or danger of loss and the events that could cause
business to fail e.g. changes in tastes, preferences of consumers, strikes, increased competition,
change in government policy, obsolesce e.t.c.
The purpose of the business risk is to balance the internal and external risk for proper project
execution.
The business human resources plan is a tool which will aid in the management of project human
resource activities throughout the business until closure.
It ensures that appropriate skilled human resources are acquired; team building strategies are
clearly defined and effectively managed.
Business communication refers to any type of communication designed to further the operation,
management or organization of a business enterprise.
It is both internal/external and involves the traditional model to evolving digital technologies.
