IMPLEMENT HYDRAULIC PUMP

IMPLEMENT HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

The implement hydraulic system is very similar to the former machines. The implement
pump (arrow) is mounted on the right side of the engine timing gear cover. The gear-type
pump has a flow rate of 65 L/min (17.3 gpm). The main relief valve for the blade circuit
limits the maximum system pressure to approximately 17200 kPa (2500 psi). The main
relief valve is located in the blade hydraulic control valve.

HYDRAULIC CONTROL VALVES

The blade hydraulic control valve is located inside the cover to the right side of the operator's
seat. Mechanical linkages connect the hydraulic control levers to the individual hydraulic
control valves. The blade raise and blade tilt controls are connected to a single joystick-type
control.
Pulling the lever to the rear RAISES the blade. Pushing the lever forward LOWERS the blade.
Pushing the lever forward past the detent puts the control valve in the FLOAT position. This
position allows blade cylinder oil to transfer from the head end to the rod end of the cylinders.
Moving the lever to the right activates the tilt circuit to tilt the blade to the right. Moving the
lever to the left tilts the blade to the left.
The main relief valve (1) limits the maximum hydraulic pressure to the blade and ripper
systems. Adjustments to the main relief setting are performed by removing the acorn nut on top
of the adjustment screw and turning the adjustment screw.
The hydraulic control valve consists of the blade tilt control valve (2); the blade lift control
valve (3); the blade angle control valve (4); and the ripper control valve (5). The line relief
valve (6) is on the head end of the ripper cylinder. The pressure setting for the line relief valve
is approximately 23000 kPa (3300 psi). The blade circuits do not have line relief valves.
