Students research puzzles and designs

Students draw their designs onto paper both for the puzzle, Power point presentation: jigsaw introduction slide 8
the pieces and the artwork to go on the pieces

5 Log off computers


Put names on drawings and designs
Hand designs to teacher
Resources required: Teacher evaluation / reflections on lesson:
Computers and one projector screen Students began researching indigenous dot paintings
Paper Students eventually started researching anything that they could then turn
Stationary into a dot painting
Example of a previously made puzzle Some student researched cartoon characters that were dot painted
I allowed them to do anything dot painting related however some students
stuck with the indigenous theme.
3 boys were not interested in the task but still had searched for
indigenous dot paintings on google.
One of the boys was on a football website so I encouraged him to
research football related indigenous art works. He looked at boots and
started to think about doing goal posts, a football and some football
boots.
Some students began to daw their ideas on paper.
