* All rates in this book have been prepared by using Anuradhapura district buying committee
rates and market prices of materials in North Central Province.

item when preparing estimates.

(c) Back filling and well ramming around foundation.

Rates for wall finishing shall include for:
(a) Temporary rules, screeds, ground etc.
(b) Ranking out joints of brickwork and backing concrete surface for forming key.
(c) Joints between different surfaces.
(d) Forming arises and stopping against joinery work, metal work etc.
(e) Making good around pipes, sanitary fittings and fixtures.
(f) Straight cutting and raking cutting holes, notching and other sundries Labour of a like
nature.
(g) Preparing sample panel of different finishes described below for the approval of the
Engineer. Each panel not less than 0.5 m2 in area.
(h) Cement used should be SLS Certified Products for masonry work.

P - ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
Rates for Electrical Installations shall include for:
(a) All necessary conduits, cables, fittings, screws, nails clips, brackets straps, and the like.
(b) Giving notices, obtaining permits, paying fees etc.
(c) Provision of drawings or circuit diagrams etc.
(d) Labeling switch and switches or other fittings.
(e) Providing samples of switches or other fittings.
(f) Earthening and testing installation as required.
Instructions
(a) Before conduit pipes are laid on concrete floor slabs, a conduit layout drawing shall be
prepared by the contractor for the approval of consultant.
(b) All electrical installation shall be for 400 volts / 230 volts 50 Hz.
(c) 5 Amp final sub-circuits shall be carried out by the looping-in method.
(d) No joints are permitted in the runs of cables.
(e) Fixing heights from finished floor level, unless directed otherwise shall be as follows,
