Please find attached my CV in application for the above position . I have completed an MSc in
Disaster Management with a Merit Degree at Coventry University. It provided me with the skills
necessary to critically evaluate and apply key elements of disaster mitigation, preparedness, response
and recovery, including the ability to conduct assessments of hazards, risks, vulnerability and capacity
building and understanding of approaches that may be used internationally to reduce and manage risk.
With a thesis: An Evaluation of Syrian Refugee Management approaches in Lebanon. This extensive
research acquired me an e experience using the research tools, and the use of qualitative and
quantitative methods while researching, such things improved my connections and communications
especially the research depended mainly on interviews with NGOs representatives and governments
to evaluate the response in Lebanon. Such Evaluation depended also on the use of the international
refugee law, Universal Declaration of human rights, ICRC principals, Sphere project and other
organizational principles.

I worked a TA programme Associate for UNHCR where our main job focus on liaising and
coordinating with NGOs and implementing partners to be able to fund their activities that aims to
build refugee and hosting communities resilience and empower Government of Lebanon through
enhancing and building their intuitional capacities.I have worked closely with External Relations unit
through coordinating with Implementing partners regarding the earmarked and un-earmarked funding
and making sure that projects and targets are achieved. With experience in monitoring and evaluation
with Danish Refugee Council ,made me acquire the evaluation skills through the use of several
monitoring tools such as assessments ,questionnaires and interviews for projects implemented within
the Syrian crisis context in Lebanon that equipped me with the skills to critically evaluate and learn
from lessons achieved during project implementation. Also, I was a guest speaker at Coventry
University for the 1st year and 3rd year Disaster management and emergency planning undergraduates
for the humanitarian relief and management module and how to prepare and strengthen the disaster
risk management for communities using effective early warning systems for communities and other
ICT technologies to make communities more resilient and less vulnerable in light of the challenges
facing humanity such as Climate change , wars, political instability and other issues that make people
vulnerable .Also, I had a previous experience with Norwegian Refugee Council in the Syrian
Response in Lebanon as an Information Field and Protection Assistant through provision of
information ( awareness sessions, and individual session like counseling and Legal Assistance for
Syrian Refugees that aimed to provide dignified life for refugees and internally displaced people and
to strengthen their knowledge about the safe access to services. In addition, I have in implementing a
child protection environment through supporting refugees in the birth registration process and
following up with them to ensure children have the right of documentation and to safe access for
services such as medical care and education.

I have developed a wide range of skills including leadership, language and communication
skills through the Global Leaders Program at Coventry University, by being exposed to
internationally-renowned speakers, lectures and seminars on a wide range of topics relating to
leadership and global issues. Moreover, I am fluent in Arabic and English. I also have strong
levels of professional and inter-professional teamwork skills and integration of evidence-
based guidelines and research findings in disaster management. I believe that my high
motivation and ability to work hard and strive for the best possible results, in addition to
sharing with you same vision which is that Mobilizing and coordinating effective and
principled humanitarian action in partnership with national and international actors alleviate
human suffering in disasters and emergencies and save lifes and the skills listed above, make
me a good candidate for this position.
