News Staff Corner:
June was a busy month to say the least, with dinners, awards, church functions, etc. We hope you had a chance to attend
some of the functions, they all were most enjoyable. As of yet the responses to update requests for current addresses, contact
numbers, and email addresses have been sparse at best. Please send any changes in the above categories to
lebanonclub@att.net (email) or to the clubs address 22 West Street Danbury, CT, 06810. Please help us keep our records
straight and up to date so that all information concerning dates and functions gets out to all members easily. While we are at
it, be sure all your financial obligations to the club are current so that constant reminders and/or mailings can be avoided.
Thoughts to Live By:
If America forgets where she came from, if the people lose sight of what brought them along, if she listens to the deniers
and mockers, then will begin the rot and dissolution. Carl Sandburg, American writer (1878-1967).
That men do not learn very much from the lessons of history is the most important of all the lessons that history has to
teach. Aldous Huxley, English author (1894-1963).
A Little Humor:
Friends may come and go, but enemies accumulate. Dr. Thomas F. Jones, Jr., American college official (1916-1981).
Learn by others mistakes because you do not live long enough to make them all yourself. Author unknown.
Member News:
Attention all members: the 14th annual Lebanon Day will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday August 5th with the flag raising

Heritage Monument will take place in the newly completed Heritage Park in front of City Hall. These events will conclude
with a Lebanese luncheon at the Lebanon American Club. For Lunch reservations and Details, please see page 5.
For those members who did not know, Fr. Jean Younis was visiting Danbury last week and was in attendance at the Friday
