Grading:
The exam contains x problems worth a total of 75 points. This exam represents 18.75% of the
overall grade for this course.
Your solutions must clearly show all steps employed to obtain an answer. You may receive gen-
erous partial credit on multi-step problems where a calculation error was propagated throughout
the remainder of the problem, but only if the remainder of your work is chemically and mathe-
matically sound, and is presented in a legible, straightforward manner.
Only work within the problem boundary will be considered for partial credit.

some equations, and constants. This page should be detached and employed as a reference
throughout the exam.
No work on this scratch sheet will be graded.
Timing:
This portion of the exam must be completed in one sitting during the 50-minute lecture period.
Only students having discussed special accommodations with Prof. Grimm may employ addi-
tional time.
If you leave the exam room at any time during the testing period, your exam will be considered
complete.
