STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Since my childhood I had great interest in automobile sector and would love to watch many race events
in sports channel and attend many autoexpos conducted in my hometown. I am pursuing my
undergraduate in Mechanical Engineering. I just came to know that since my undergraduate program is
going to end soon its time I choose a specific path in Mechanical field. I came to know that this is a
crucial phase in my life and have to move forward with what I learnt and with my interest to work in
industries with production of cars, I decided to do my graduate studies in abroad. I firmly believe that
learning can be done by actually doing it practically.

My undergraduate program has given me great exposure towards various subjects such as process
planning and cost estimation,computer intergrated manufacturing.Since I really love science and
technology,pursuing a career in the field of engineering gave me more happiness and it felt quite natural
to me. These subjects made me get interest in the field of production development. Im also an active
member of an association in our college called SAEINDIA COLLEGIATE CLUB which gave me more
exposure towards my field and I have attended many workshops which was conducted by this
association regularly.

I have attended a national level Hi-Tech workshop on IC engines Assembling and dismantling(Chennai).I
have also attended a multiple course training on CFD(computational fluid dynamics) which was
conducted by Udvavisk Pvt.Ltd.

We recently finished our pre final year project which is also called as the mini-project on DESIGN AND
FABRICATION OF VERTICAL AXIS WIND TURBINE. The main aim of our project was to reduce the usage
of non-renewable resources and use renewable energy by using miniature form of wind turbine in most
common places such as home,hospitals etc.

With respect to my family background, my parents have always been a great inspiration to me right
from my childhood. My dad was a navy officer and he had taught me how to handle tough and difficult
situations and overcome such difficulties easily with our character and strength. My parents not only
guides me but treats me as their own friend and motivates me to reach great heights in my life.

I just want to conclude by saying that if I did my masters in your esteemed university, I will be able to
pursue my dreams with the kind of education and training your institution provides and make myself
and my parents proud.
