PHILIPPINE CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY

Graduate School of Business & Management

Master in Business Administration/Master in Management

COURSE SYLLABUS

Course Code/Course Title : BUS406/ Quantitative Techniques

Type of Course : Core Course

COURSE DESCRIPTION :

The course is a CAI-based that deals with quantitative models, which are widely
used as effective management tools to decision making. It delves on building the
mathematical models to describe the essence of the decision making. It delves on
building the mathematical models to describe the essence of the decision problems and
the associated algorithms to reach an optimum solution both for profit-oriented and non-
profit oriented organizations.

The PCU/GSBM Vision/Mission and values are integrated in the course.

OBJECTIVES/VALUES:

At the end of the course, the students are expected to:

Have attained sufficient working knowledge on the techniques in building

mathematical models used in decision making;
Have performed the algorithms for the mathematical models and interpreted the
results;
Have submitted and defended a mini-research paper; and
Have integrated PCU values in their learning.
