FOR SAFETY
This Operating Instructions contains the important safety
Warnings, Cautions and Notes for safe use of this medi-
cal equipment. Read these Operating Instructions carefully
before use and become thoroughly familiar with the opera-
tions and maintenance of this equipment.
WARNING
Failure to comply with the following items may result in seriously
dangerous condition to the patient(s) and damage(s) to the equipment
even if the equipment can be operated normally.
CAUTION
In addition to the Warnings, Contraindications and Prohibitions, the items
to be followed when using this equipment, when storing this equipment
and when performing maintenance of this equipment are described.
Failure to comply with these items may result in the troubles that normal
performance of this equipment cannot be obtained, medical practice is
threatened, or damage occurs to the equipment.
IN ORDER TO USE THE UNIT SAFELY
REQUEST
Before you will send this equipment for inspection or repair back to the
factory, empty the bottle and disinfect or sterilize it.
We cannot receive it when fear of infection is in it.
CAUTIONS ON USE
WARNING
Don't use this machine other than the skilled man.
Operate the unit under direction of medical practi-
cians or well-trained men
Maintenances and inspections should be performed
following this manual and the package insert.
Use the patient tube so that it should not be bent or
folded in any manner.
Strictly follow the specified type, dose and usage of
the chemicals.
Pour out secretion as early as possible before the
bottle becomes full.
Don't touch the power cord or the power supply
plug with wet hands.
The patient tube, suction bottle, accessories of suc-
tion bottle, and catheter holder should be sterilized
after washing.
(When this equipment is used at home, sterilize and
disinfect them as necessary.)
The consumables should be replaced periodically.
When replacing parts, use always the genuine parts
of our company.
Dont block the ventilation air outlet on the rear of
the housing.
When unplugging the power cord, hold it by the
plug. Pulling on the wire can cause the damage,
electrical shock and fire.
If secretion is suctioned and has entered in the suc-
tion pump side, it is very dangerous that the piping
is chocked inside the tube by the secretion.
The check and inspection by the repair contractor or
the manufacturer is definitely required.
WARNING
The PTFE suction filter (an optional accessory)
degenerates gradually as the mist of the secre-
tion adheres to the filter, causing clogging. The
effect of suction filter will be down in a month or
so. Replace the PTFE suction filter with a new
one when the suction power becomes weak and
it seems that the filter clogs.
If secretion is suctioned into the PTFE suction
filter (an optional accessory), the PTFE suction
filter will be clogged even at one time, and it
may not be able to suction any more.
CAUTIONS ON USE
CAUTION
Clean and dry the patient tube, the patient tube connection port, the
suction bottle and the accessories of the suction bottle thoroughly.
If cleaning and/or drying are insufficient, it may result in mold
(black or pink mold). After use, clean and dry them thoroughly.
Insert the suction bottle holder until it comes to the top of the suc-
tion bottle. Then, place the bottle cover. If the suction bottle holder
is stopped in the middle of the suction bottle, the bottle cover may
not be closed.
Carry out periodical cleaning and check. In order to use this unit
safely long, and prevent sudden failure and the like, be sure to ac-
cept the maintenance inspection (user inspection) and scheduled
inspection. (Refer to 30th page.)
When the equipment will not be used for a long period of time, dis-
connect the power plug from the wall outlet.
When this equipment was not used for a long period of time, use it
after taking it out to check for safety, and use it.
Be careful that the metal parts and the peripherals can be so hot
during the continuous run (maximum six hours).
Do not set the Power switch to On when the suction pressure re-
mains (i.e., in the state that the vacuum gauge needle does not re-
turn to 0) in this equipment. Doing so may result in the trouble
that this equipment does not work, or fuse may blow.
When you will dispose of this equipment (inclusive of the acces-
sories and optional parts), please be directed by the administrator
of your residential area. It can cause environmental pollution.

PROPER HANDLING
1. Preparations
CAUTION When using this equipment for the first time in a
day, perform the daily inspection without fail.
(Refer to 30th page.)
1 Place this equipment on the level and stable place.
2 Check that the bottle cover (suction bottle cap) and the connecting
tubes are set so securely that there may be no leak.
13
PROPER HANDLING
5 Connect a catheter and the catheter connector S6 with the patient tube.

2. Operations
1 When the power switch is set to On, the suction pump starts suction-
ing.
2 Put a catheter in the patient's affected part such as mouth cavity, throat
or nasal cavity.
3 When the suction pressure is low or high, turn the HIGH-LOW pres-
sure control dial gently while watching the vacuum gauge dial carefully
to regulate the suction pressure to the specified value.

The more secretion in the suction bottle, the float will rise along
with the volume of the secretion until the float activates the float
stopper (the suction stop float valve). When the suction stop float
valve is activated, it reduces the infiltration of secretion to the
suction pump.
If the float stopper does not work, the float remains rose in the top
of the suction bottle. In such a case, open the bottle cover and make
sure that the float can move up and down.

MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION
1. Daily Inspection
CAUTION Before operation be sure to inspect the following
items.
Inspect that the AC power cord plug is not deformed.
Inspect that the appearance of the suction bottle and its accessories
shows no crack and any other abnormalities..
Inspect that the connecting parts, dial and the like are not loose, and
work smoothly.
Check that on and off of the power switch moves smooth. Check that
the vacuum gauge indicator changes smoothly when the patient tube is
folded with fingers and turning the HIGH-LOW pressure control dial.
Check whether the exhaust filter stains or not. (Refer to 29th page.)

3. About Scheduled Inspection
In order to prevent sudden accidents and use this product in safety, the
scheduled inspection every 2 years by the manufacturer or the repair
contractor and overhaul every 5 years are required. In scheduled inspec-
tion, perform function and performance test in addition to replacement of
consumables such as rubber products.
On the structure of the unit, the longer the hours worked become, the
more the degeneration of parts progress. And also accumulations of dust,
mist suctioned and the like have progressed. It becomes difficult for the
unit to keep the ability by only performing the periodical inspection over
a certain period of time. The overhaul with the parts replacements for
new ones and a very thorough examination is essential to returning the
unit to the ability as it was. (The scheduled inspection is charged sepa-
rately.)
