Doctrina del Evangelio 1 (Religion 430)

Abish Rojas Gutirrez

1. Por qu es importante que yo sepa y entienda que hay verdades relativas y absolutas?

Its important to know that there are relative and absolute truths because the absolute truths will
never change and are revealed by our Heavenly Father. Science tries to explain our physical
universe but only God has the power to enlighten us with knowledge little by little, thats the
reason why many theories in science have changed and had to be adapted throughout time.

Our Heavenly Father gives truth to us by revelation. He does it by revealing His will to His prophets
(1 Nephi 22:2) and by different ways like through the voice of the Spirit (D&C 8:23), the word of
God is revealed to the heart and mind of righteous people within their individual spheres of
authority (James 1:5). Reading the scriptures is key to know the revelations given to the prophets
by God.

Throughout time people have tried to deny the existence of God. Science purpose is to solve
Universe mysteries, but until Our Heavenly Father allows it, these relative truths are theories of
science and the absolute thruths will remain hidden to the human kind.

2. Por qu la expiacin es importante para el mundo y en especial para m?

The Atonement of Jesus Christ let us conquer temporal and spiritual death. After we get baptised
and receive the Holy Ghost we partake of the Sacrament. The sacrament is an ordinance instituted
to remind members of the Church of the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God.
We, as members, promise to adore God during Sabbath, and to remember The Atonement of our
Savior.

Jesus Christ possesses a fulness of the perfection, attributes, and glory of the Father, this
attributes such as virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, kindness, Godliness and Charity made
him qualified to be our Redemeer.

Jesus Christ is the Mediator who is pleading your cause before him, only through Him we can
reach Celestial Kingdom because he descended below all things in taking upon Himself the sins of
all the children of God.

The Atonement help us to repent and to be cleansed of all of our sins. Its our duty to always
follow the commandments in order to progress on this life.

3. De qu manera las doctrinas del evangelio bendicen mi vida diaria?

Ive learned to see differently The Plan of Salvation after I learned more about Doctrines of the
Gospel. In the Premortal Life We learned about mortal life and we decided to follow the Plan of
Salvation.

We knew we would sin and make mistakesperhaps even serious ones. But we also knew that
our Savior, Jesus Christ, had pledged to come to earth, live a sinless life, and voluntarily lay down
His life in an eternal sacrifice. We knew that if we gave our heart to Him, trusted Him, and strived
with all the energy of our soul to walk in the path of discipleship, we could be washed clean and
once again enter the presence of our beloved Father in Heaven.

So, with faith in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, you and I accepted, by our free will, Heavenly Fathers
plan. 1.

The Atonement allows us to be better every day with small acts of kindness. We shouldnt expect
that a big change in our lifes will give us Exhaltation. We ought to forgive one another to received
the blessings of the Atonement.

The great Atonement was the supreme act of forgiveness. The magnitude of that Atonement is
beyond our ability to completely understand. I know only that it happened, and that it was for me
and for you. The suffering was so great, the agony so intense, that none of us can comprehend it
when the Savior offered Himself as a ransom for the sins of all mankind.
It is through Him that we gain forgiveness. It is through Him that there comes the certain promise
that all mankind will be granted the blessings of salvation, with resurrection from the dead. It is
through Him and His great overarching sacrifice that we are offered the opportunity through
obedience of exaltation and eternal life. 2

After studying these lessons Im amazed of the power of Our Heavenly Father. If I have faith in
Jesus Christ and act in the name of this faith I will accomplish many attributes that will make me
be more like Him. I will be a goddess and I will acquire absolute wisdom that will help me to create
worlds. I also will be able to help other beings to reach exhaltation.

Its my responsability to follow Jesus Christ steps and to always listen and read to the words of our
prophets and of the Holy Spirit.
