The Project Manager, Engr. Feliciano Liwanag, has Assigned me to be supervised by Engr. Francisco Taluban
which is the Construction Manager of the current Sta. Lucia Project. I have been deployed on the construction
site near the Sta. Lucia Mall on Marcos Highway. While I was waiting for my supervisor to come, I looked on
how the building was currently constructed. I saw the excavator currently removing soil for the construction og
the buildings basement, workers who were putting ties on the reinforcements column, etc.

Details of Training Activity When Engr. Feliciano arrived, he welcomed me and introduced the working environment that I will be working
on. He explained to me the projects status as of that day. He told me that the project is a High Rise Building
and the first 3 floors has been halfway built. I also learned that every Tuesday afternoon, the Engineers-in-
charge holds a meeting and I was told to observed them.

Afterwards, he thought me the initial step of the Construction which is the Installation of Bored Piles. I was able
to understand Engr. Francisco clearly because I have already tackled this topipic on my Construction Materials
course.

During this day, Engr. Taluban thought us about the beams and columns that are being built on the
construction site. He thought us of how to read the blueprints and compare them of what we saw on the
construction site. From what I learned to him, the beam has an extra rebars on the bottom to counteract the
loads which causes deflection on midspan.

From todays activity, Engr. Taluban commands us to get the area of the slab needed.
