A NEW DAWN FOR EFC!

Firstly, I would like to thank you all for your considerable efforts this academic year, during a turbulent
and challenging time. You are almost there and I know that even after the end of the academic year
next week, many of you will continue to work with our students who might still needhelp and all of
youwill be thinking and planning for the start of the next academic year.
As your Chairman of Governors I have been personally involved
in the life of the College since my appointment in February.
Ihave met with many of you in person and visited many of your
classes. I respect and acknowledge the level of hard work you
have put in and the commitment and dedication you show to
your students, colleagues and theCollege.
Epping Forest College is entering a new era. With the
appointment of our principal, Saboohi, last year we now
haveanambitious strategic vision for the future of the College
and its learners. We are building on the Colleges core mission
of skills development in the immediate locality, and in our
widerregion.
You have all had an important role in helping the College totake
stock and to take action. I, likely many of you, am keen tosee the
impact of all of our efforts that will be evident in theresults for
our learners achievements.
There is no question that the challenges that we face are
enormous. They match in their enormity with our aspiration
to be outstanding and wanting to deliver consistently well for
our learners and support them on their way to the next stage
oftheir planned education, employment or career.
