Dear Bourgade Catholic High School Administration,

I am interested in applying for the teaching position available in your History department. I am a
Bourgade Catholic alumnus, class of 2015. After graduation, I attended Arizona State University,
majoring in History Secondary Education with a minor in Spanish. I believe my experience and
passion for History and Catholic education would make me an ideal candidate for the opening
position at your school.

While attending Arizona State University, I have enhanced my abilities as an educator by taking
various History and teaching courses. With my experience, I believe I can provide a positive
learning environment for my students by using appropriate teaching strategies to meet individual
student needs.

Prior to attending a public university, I spent the majority of my education in a Catholic

community. From third to eighth grade, I attended St. Louis the King Catholic School. I
continued to pursue a Catholic education by attending Bourgade Catholic High School. Your
school emphasizes the importance of introducing Catholic teachings to your students in both
academic and spiritual areas. I think my experience as a student and member of the Catholic
community would make me an asset to your program.

Your school also strives to educate the hearts and minds of your students in the Catholic
tradition. I am a practicing Catholic. In doing so, I engage in various community service projects.
For instance, I volunteer annually at my parishs festival and regularly volunteer at the Central
Arizona Shelter Services. I believe that I will be able to be a role model to my students by
promoting and living gospel values and Catholic moral teachings. Likewise, I will be able to
integrate the Churchs teachings in all aspects of the curriculum. I would enjoy engaging in
projects with my students and the schools community.

With my experience in Catholic education and knowledge of History, I believe I have the ability
to be a responsible, compassionate, and dependable teacher who will make a positive
contribution to your school. I am familiar with the schools values and have maintained them as a
student; I hope to have the opportunity to maintain them again as a teacher. If there are any
