Its My Party Too PAC

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christine_Todd_Whitman
n early 2005, Whitman released a book entitled It's My Party, Too: Taking Back the
Republican Party... And Bringing the Country Together Again in which she criticizes the
policies of the George W. Bush administration and its electoral strategy, which she views
as divisive.

She formed a political action committee called It's My Party Too (IMP-PAC), intended to
help elect moderate Republicans at all levels of government. IMP-PAC is allied with the

Republican Main Street Partnership,

The Republican Main Street Partnership (RMSP) is a group of moderate members of

the United States Republican Party. They tend away from the dominant social
conservatism of many Republicans and towards a moderate fiscal conservatism and
limited government to a degree. The group is the rough equivalent of the Blue Dog
Democrats.[1]

The Wish List,

The Wish List is an organization whose acronym for Women In the Senate and House.
It is a political action committee devoted to electing pro-choice Republican women to the
House of Representatives and Senate, The Wish List was founded in 1992. It can be
considered a counterpart to two other organizations: Emily's List, whose goal is to elect
pro-choice Democratic women, and the Susan B. Anthony List, whose goal is to elect
pro-life women. The Wish List maintains strong alliances with other liberal Republican
groups, such as The Republican Majority For Choice, It's My Party Too, and Republicans
For Choice.

the Republican Majority for Choice,

The Republican Majority for Choice is a Republican organization in the United States
dedicated to preserving legal access to abortion. The group also supports federal funding
for all kinds of stem cell research, including Embryonic stem cell research.[1].

Republicans for Choice,

Republicans for Choice, an organization based in the Washington, D.C. area

(Headquarters:205 South Whiting Street, Suite 260, Alexandria, VA 22304) is a political
action committee (PAC) composed of members of the United States Republican Party
who support legalized abortion.

Republicans for Environmental Protection

Republicans for Environmental Protection (REP) is a national organization of United
States Republican Party voters formed in 1995. REP’s stated purpose is to strengthen the
Republican Party’s stance on environmental issues and support efforts to conserve natural
resources and protect human and environmental health. Incorporated in Illinois, its
headquarters are in Sturgis, Michigan.

the Log Cabin Republicans.

The Log Cabin Republicans (LCR) organization works within the Republican Party to
advocate equal rights for all Americans, including gays and lesbians in the United States
with state chapters and a national office in Washington, D.C. The group's constituency
supports the Republican Party and advocates for LGBT rights.[2][3]

After the 2006 midterm elections, IMP-PAC was merged into RLC-PAC, the Republican
Leadership Council's PAC.

The Republican Leadership Council (RLC or RLC-PAC), founded in 1993 as the

Committee for Responsible Government, is a United States political advocacy group
and political action committee that promotes Republican candidates who espouse a
platform that the organization characterizes as "fiscally conservative, socially inclusive."
Issues championed by the RLC include small government, lower taxes, balanced budgets,
environmental conservation and school vouchers.

The organization is chaired by former Missouri Senator John Danforth and former New
Jersey Governor Christine Todd Whitman and tends to be critical of what it considers to
be the disproportionate role of conservative Christians in the Republican Party[1].

Straight Talk America is a political action committee created by Sen. John McCain (R-
Ariz.) It was originally formed during McCain’s 2000 bid for the Republican presidential
nomination. It was revived again in 2005. [1]

About Rick Snyder

I phoned Snyder’s campaign and emailed them, but they would not answer when I asked
about his position on Traditional one-man, one-woman marriage.  I am very concerned
about Rick’s statement, “I also believe people have the right to enter into other types of
agreements other than marriage.”  Does this indicate approval of domestic partnerships
and perhaps government-sanctioned same-sex relationships, perhaps with corporate and
tax-funded benefits?
The Michigan Messenger’s writer, Todd Heywood (cited below) is a homosexual activist,
and Between the Lines is a pro-homosexual publication.

Then there is the problem of positions Snyder has articulated. Some are fundamentally at odds
with the party’s base. Consider:
He supports using human embryos to create stem cells for medical research. He favors
government recognition of rights for gay and lesbian couples much like those accorded
married couples. He opposed the ban on race and gender preferences approved by Michigan
voters in 2006.

Is MI GOP Gubernatorial candidate Rick Snyder a pro-abort?
http://theblogprof.blogspot.com/2010/03/is-mi-gop-gubernatorial-candidate-rick.html

Nick DeLeeuw, RightMichigan.com blogger: "The guy’s given thousands of dollars to liberal
Democrats and even more cash to organizations designed explicitly to eliminate the right to
life from the Republican Party. To Snyder, apparently, that amounts to moderation. The rest of
us just call it pro-abortion liberalism."      April 14, 2009

Todd Heywood, Michigan Messenger fellow (Homosexual Advocacy Magazine): "If

RightMichigan.com’s blogs and comments are any indication, Snyder is not playing well
with the social conservative base of the Michigan GOP."

Snyder describes himself as a moderate Republican. 'Moderate' means that he

supports using human embryos to create stem cells for medical research, he
promotes gay marriage, and that he supports race and gender preferences, and…

Disgruntled precinct delegate
March 27, 2009
This evening I received an email from a Carl Hoffman a precinct delegate chastising Ron
Weiser and Rick Snyder for being liberal.
In his email Hoffman says that “That’s why I am concerned to learn that our State Party
Chairman Ron Weiser recruited pro-choice, pro-gay marriage, “moderate
Republican” Rick Snyder to run for Governor.”
http://miconservative.wordpress.com/

Spend two hours talking with Snyder, as I did, and it becomes clear that his
unconventional bid for the GOP nomination boils down to a few things: new ideas and
the economy. He ticks off his stance on the hot-buttons -- pro-life, pro Second
Amendment, anti gay marriage but pro civil unions, pro stem-cell research under
certain conditions…
