Training Communication
Take your configuration from yesterday, and extend the network tree:

Line IEC 60870-5-101 and / or

Line IEC 60870-5-104

Add the following nodes to these lines:

IEC 60870-5-101: Control System
IEC 60870-5-104: Control System

In the hardware tree set the configuration data according to your needs.
Use also the Master-IP-Address, in order to be sure, that nobody else
will play with your substation

Check the protocol addresses of all process data points, and the addresses
of the System-Data-Interface. Delete elements from the System-Data-Interface.

Set the buffer sizes of the host communication interface to small sizes,
in order to see the influence of these buffers during communication breaks.
Set the Queue storage timeout to 5 10 minutes.

Install the application COMPROTware from your CD:
- Extract the file cptt_01.45.exe
- Start the installation procedure cptt_01.45.msi
- Install the dongle driver WkRt-DE.exe

Install the green dongle at the parallel port of your PC.

Create a short-cut of COMPROTware and put it on your desktop.

Tipp: This dongle is also available as a USB version.

Select the protocol type IEC 60870-5-101 or 104.

Before you can start, you have to define two telegrams (once):
M_EI_NA_1 Name: M_EI message
C_IC_NA_1 Name: C_IC command

Connect your RTU560 with a serial port of your PC using

the so called Master-Cable.

Training Communication

Start your application IEC 60870-5-101 with Action -> Simulate Master
and start the Test Tool COMPROTware a second time.
Use IEC 60870-5-104 with Action -> Simulate Master.

Check the result of the General Interrogation, initiated by the Master.

Change the inputs of your process simulation (binary and analogues).
Generate an overflow for your analogue inputs
Make changes on the binary inputs, to check the chatter frequency.
Generate new telegrams for process commands (one step, two step)..
Try an execute command to a command with Select before operate.
Try within 20 seconds a Two step command.
Try a command to an information object address, which is not present.
Stop the communication, and restart it again.
